We had a great, casual, delicious dinner on a Saturday night at Pizzeria Mandara. The welcome is always warm and the service is always friendly. The food is consistently good. My favorite is the arugula pizza. It's an outstanding pie! Desserts are always yummy, too.
Our server was friendly but lapses in returning to our table to attend to new needs. The fried calamari was excellent and fresh. The mussels were tasty with a good amount of heat. the bruschetta was okay. When the iced tea was replenished it was not cold. The pizzas were pretty good. The pizza pies were very good in size and taste for the price. The two things that was unpleasant were the laminated menus that were sticky and grimy to touch and the benches at the booth we sat also...

Its a 20 minute drive for us, but it is worth it when we have the craving.
They used to be closer before we moved, so we dont get to enjoy it as much.
But whenever we have the hankering, it never disappoints. The crust has nice crunchy edges. The flavor of the plumb juicy tomatoes is fantastic.
For us we make one pie work for 2 dinners for two. Even the leftovers...
