Fraser's Restaurant

Despite the exterior appearance and its location next to a.cannabis store, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and even recommended some local sights. They suggested that anything with fish would be very good and, boy, were they right. Not only were the cod cakes and fish and chips very large portions, the fish was fresh, tender and delicious. I waited to post this review until after finishing our 8 day tour of Newfoundland, and their fish was the best. Definitely a hidden gem.

What an ignorant person the owner/cook is.
I would never waste any money on this business. Witnessed this fella belittle a potential customer simply for asking to use the washroom and then proceeded to chase him to another business to continue his ignorance.

Most ignorant experience I have ever had , asked to use the washroom and was met with pure ignorance and the cook proceeded to follow me to the shop two doors over to continue being out of line

To be fair the food here was decent. I don’t often give low reviews if the food is good but when I walked into Frasers I wasn’t sure if I’d stay for a meal. The decor is so outdated and the flooring is in rough shape. Don’t me started on the washroom.
Again, I love a good dirty spoon cafe as much as the next guy but this place needs an upgrade.
Despite the food I’d take a pass next time.

Myself, wife and granddaughter stop there for supper. Had the cod bite special. The bite were huge, the size of an order of fish at other places. The food was excellent and the service was superb. Will be dining the again. If you love fish this place won’t disappoint.

The most fresh and well-cooked cod I’ve had in a long time at an establishment. Extremely reasonable prices and more than generous portions as well. Customer service was also top notch. The owner made a point to come out and check in on others who were dining-in, plus had a chat with my partner - definitely nice to see friendly owners who take such pride in their business! We will be back Fraser’s 🫶

Mom & Pop restaurant, conveniently located on the way to Port de Grave. We stopped there on the way back 15min before they were closing and they did not disappoint. The fried chicken is crispy, better than any fast food restaurant on the island as they are made to order. My husband ordered a platter and everything was so crispy and tasted so fresh. I would highly recommend popping by to support a local business rather than McDonald's or A&W if you are in the area.

all of my dinner party had different kinds of meals from pork chops to chinese food and were all delicious.
the service was impecable and the ladies were very pleasent and witty as i joked with a few of the staff.reasonable prices and hearty meals,overall great and highly recommend.
