“My family and I visited the area to see the boat light display. We had found the Madrock Cafe on our last trip and decided a revisit was in order. They made our group of 6 including a baby feel at home right away! Our server was full of personality and good at her job! As for the food there was very little conversation around the table once the food showed!!!The beans and fish cakes are next level!! This is a great spot to eat that won’t break the bank! If you’re not in the mood to talk but have to go out with the in-laws at Christmas lol, I’d suggest you take them to the Madrock Cafe the food will save your bacon as your mouth will be too full to talk!!!”

“Amazing breakfast especially with the fried bread dough... little pricy $15.00 , it should be no more than $10. Coffee is way better than tim Hortons .. staff is very friendly 😊”

“Mary Browns have been very busy with their batter box specials. The cars were lined up down to the road.
The chicken wasn't great the day we were there, but being a huge Mary Browns fan, I would definitely go back.”

“Food was really good. I have to say, the wings I ordered were delicious and I love their selection of sauces. However, it took a long time for the food to come out & when it did it wasn’t as hot as it should be. It was lukewarm, when it should’ve been super hot. I ate it anyways cuz I was hungry and already waited a very long time. I do understand it was a Saturday tho, and very busy. I would definitely go back on a weekday to try another flavour!”

“The ice cream was really good. The place can get very busy quickly. And the line can be quite long. The staff is pretty quick tho and try to get through the line efficiently. The parking lot is small so people will sometimes park next door.”

“There’s no “substitute” for a great sub, and if a great sub is what you’re looking for, look no further than the Bay Robert’s Subway. Clean, well stocked and with a very polite and friendly staff, this certainly was a pleasant meal! They did not have tuna made up but no one is perfect. Highly recommend. Best meal of my life.”

“These paper straws gotta go. If you don't drink your pop in 20 mins you better have another straw handy. If the restaurants across the US have abandoned paper straws why are still doing this? Plus these paper straws at McDonald's are the lowest quality. Come on McDonald's please give napkins and 2 straws for every drink. We shouldn't have to beg for this stuff.”

“Popped in today for our first meal. Really nice welcome. Prompt service. Nice menu. Fantastic food. New pot of brewed coffee prepared. Onion rings wow. Have to see to experience. Piping hot to the last bite. Mains were smash burger and fish tacos. Excellent fresh, cooked to order portions and piping hot. The service was excellent even though a really large table of 12 folks were in the restaurant. Service was seamless and very relaxed. Looking forward to going back again.”

“Got a banana split. Absolutely massive. 3 HEAPING scoops of ice cream. Perfectly chopped square pineapple pieces. Perfectly halved and de-stemmed strawberries. PERFECTLY halved banana on top of perfectly displayed whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Absolutely amazing. Delicious and beautiful. Not to mention amazing, quick service, and cheap prices.”

“Dined in here about a week ago and it was excellent!!! The staff were friendly and made sure my order was correct before sending it to the kitchen. There was a little bit of a wait but not long at all which was ok because that means your food is going to come out fresh and was it ever! I couldn’t even bite into my chicken sandwich it was that hot and fresh. Best feed of KFC I’ve had in years!!! Wayyy better all around than the one close to my home in conception bay south or others in st John’s and mount pearl. I’ve tried them all. Oh! And FYI the one in bay roberts is really good too!”
