Came to the Stone jug for lunch with the girls! This is my second time eating here; however, this time I was very disappointed. I had ordered the fish tacos and was served brown fish sticks instead of battered cod! Such a disappointment, especially after asking about the fish tacos. If I had to know, they served processed fish instead of fresh I would not have ordered them. My friends had ordered the brisket and could not eat the bread. We all spoke to the waitress about these issues and were dismissed with statements, such as… “Yes, there were complaints today about the buns earlier today!” & “ Most people don't mind the tacos”
So disappointed! I must say the atmosphere was fantastic! We even had the luxury of listening to a Newfoundland traditional band practice there.

Absolutely incredible place to eat and explore! The food was amazing! We had delicious tempura shrimp, Rhork burger and Bbq ribs! We even returned again next day and had bbq chicken pizza! All was splendid!
Check out all the floors while waiting for your meal and view the incredible architecture and chandelieres! The owner kept the history here while making it the most interesting place in the area! Well done!

My girlfriend and I made the 30 min drive from where we were staying in New Harbour to get a late lunch here. We ordered mussels as a starter and a pizza as our main. I made sure our server was clear that we wanted mussels as appetizer. But we had just gotten our mussels when the pizza was brought to our table and I asked for them to take it back to keep warm. Our server Kendall was awesome so I don't think it was her mistake... I think the kitchen messed up. The mussels were awesome but when the pizza arrived the crust was soggy. I really should have asked for a fresh one. The pizza was tasty but the texture was simply not 100%. Overall it was a good experience and the food was great tasting. Kendall was a very good server and she was receptive when I suggested to tell the kitchen they messed up on the timing. Can't give a 5 star - sorry.

What a phenomal experience. Visiting from Ontario and I haven't seen such detail of history before! The decoration is amazing and you can tell the owner put so much dedication to restoring and keeping the vibe of the restaurant. To be a fly on the wall when it was running back in the 1800s would have been amazing. Gluten free options as well! The floors above have the beautiful architecture as the main floor. Wedding venue for ceremony and reception above as well was done beautifully!
Highly recommend and wonderful servers.

We were served by the bartender. He was excellent. On point, not distant or overbearing. Couldn't be more pleased.

Food portions we're a little large, but I'd rather leave something on the plate than feel there wasn't enough value.

Food was prepared well, felt like it was actually made, not franchise microwave mass produced nonsense.

Will definitely return.

Don't get the Tuscan Pizza. Your better off eating a literal doormat, more flavor and less dry. The best comparison I can make is none pizza with left beef but even that's better then that pitiful excuse for pizza.

Someday have specials. We hit wing day by accident. The wings, coffee, and beer made our day. Great job on the inventive wing flavors. I recommend the maple bacon wings.... we will be back.

I would definitely recommend the Stone Jug . We had a great experience with a wonderful Birthday dinner party May 30.. From Reservations to Pre Ordering the meals for a party of 18 Our meals were on time for 7pm and Our compliments to the Chef.!!!The meals were totally delish !!!! Our waitress Breanna was so attentive pleasant and polite...a sweetheart!! Thank you for making this Birthday one to remember ... 😊

This place is a favourite of ours since we moved into the area in Feb of 2023. Good food, awesome atmosphere and the best people you ever want to meet working there!
If there is one thing that would put them over the top in my opinion is utilizing the tvs there for sporting events like NFL games, NHL nights, etc. Man! Would that ever spark some of those dark cool nights with a big influx of friends during the long winter evenings.
