I find the food always looks better than it tastes sadly. The young girl with glasses on the cash was rude on my last visit as well.

The bread is simply the best, anywhere. Full stop. You can buy it sliced or as loaf. The people are like anyone's extended family and love to have a laugh. Their variety of choices for consumable and fresh food is impressive. These ladies put in the work. Great job, Dough By's!

Listen I live up the road and I walk to Dough By's in my friggin sweatpants, half stoned, hair a mess, and I have never felt judged for it. That's proof that this is a legit locally owned Newfoundland business that knows exactly where it stands in the circle of life here in CBS.

In terms of food, it's probably the second greatest slice of pizza I've ever had in my life and I'm a pizza freak so lemme tell ya b'ys that's a high bar to get over. Not as good as Big Bite out in Bay Roberts (IYKYK) BUT finally kicked my beloved childhood school pizza day pizza slice out of the #2 spot. That's a solid piece of pizza, friends and neighbors. Can't waste gas going out the bay all the time. Bad enough we're in CBS.

The actual place itself is laid out in the same manner as most of Newfoundland. You need to walk in with the mindset of a Nan (late 60s minimum) who has come to this little plot of land to simply mosey, with the intention of eventually making her way to a check out that will eventually proceed to an exit. So, for those of you who did not have a Nan, it's laid out like a drunk goat went around with little post-its to mark where things should go and for some reason nobody could argue with the drunk goat. It makes sense in the same way that downtown St John's makes sense. it just GREW that way, and it's the coolest possible thing to see in a local store. I'm not dissing them at all here - it's a blast to wander around in there, but mainlanders beware, and be ready to ask where you should line up.

Because none of us really know, pal, that's the secret. I don't think even the staff quite know where you should line up.

Great selection off desserts, baked items, grab and go meals. Pizza is Delicious and a great selection of cakes for all occasions!

When you crave something but sometimes you don't know what...this is a place to visit. Such a good variety of items, flavors and tastes for a snack, full lunch or supper and something for that sweet tooth.

Definitely recommend a stop if you've never been to see for yourself 👍🏻

Man da best bakery around da bay. Almost every single thing is homemade. Delicious.Ive had a real coconut cream pie there in the past. With actual cream. I bought a pie last weekend not impressed. Good pie crust. But filled with vanilla pudding and icing on top with a few sprinkles of coconut on top. That is not a coconut CREAM pie

Bakery treats are top notch and the staff are all wonderful. I found the slice I had was a bit underwhelming but tasty all the same, as the crust was a little overdone. This might have been my luck with getting an older slice as a grab and go from the warming rack, but definitely worth a try. My recommendation is order a full pizza for the family and see how it is fresh and ready to eat!
