Brockway's Restaurant & Bar

Went there with a crowd for an 80th birthday celebration. Meals in general were great. Service was great. Only complaint was the Fettuccine Alfredo. A customer paid the extra for shrimp over the chicken for the protein. It was a hardy plate of pasta but 4 tiny shrimp (with shell left on) was very disappointing for a main course.

A group of nine of us just ate there, and we were mostly happy with all of our meal choices. We started with sharing chicken wings, the spinach dip, and onion rings, which were all delicious. Supper choices included the cod, the fish and chips, a crispy chicken wrap, and four of us had chicken stirfry. Unfortunately, three people got the Thai chicken stirfry, and it was too spicy for everybody. I would recommend to the owner to revise the menu to reflect that it is a spicy Thai sauce. We ended up switching meals around so that the people who could not eat the spicy foods were able to eat something. But overall, a very good experience.

I don't know how but they might have a new chef OMGG Everything on the menu tastes better, it's more delicious. Yes, chef.

I have got to say... the last few times I have been there I was left very disappointed and only ate half my meal. When they first opened the food was amazing. I always get the brisket panini. it use to be melt in your mouth juicy. now it's dry and can't even chew it. it's almost like the meats changed. I still really like the atmosphere there. however I wouldn't suggest the panini anymore.

Dinner with a view, it doesn't get much better then this!

Mobile debit/visa machine not working right. They continued to use it. It would not accept my password #’s, causing my card to be locked out by bank. As I was travelling, it caused be a huge inconvenience waiting for Monday morning to be rectified.

I'm not really into writing reviews but this place deserves a shout out! Not only is it a GORGOUS looking spot but the service and THE FOOOOD

The food was as good if not better than I could have made at home myself!
I was a way for work in Corner Brook for 4 days and I can get fed up with fast food very quickly... but this place NO!
The Chicken Fettuccini HAD REAL CHICKEN BREAST not fake or flash frozen but REAL! The potions are more than fair and the cost was not going to hurt anyone lol.
I also had Fish Tacos, ABSOLUTLY WICKED!!! The fish was fresh the breading was perfect, cooked with skill and care.
but the staff........aside from the one employee who didn't give the time of day (I tried to pay no notice lol)....DANIEL was amazing and his hospitality persona was natural and uplifting. Daniel was so accommodating and ready to answer my questions on a real level. I even felt as though I received special treatment but he seemed to be so good to everyone.
Home style cooking while away for work? Yes please!
Over all a wonderful experience, such a great spot and it deserves more attention!

Service was excellent, pan fried cod was also excellent. However, the French fries were absolutely terrible. They were over cooked and tasted as if they were left in the steamer for an extended period of time before serving. Another issue was the absence of mashed potatoes on the menu.

It was really good. I had the calamari and club sandwich with fries. Gravy was perfect. Wait staff was great. Food was pipping hot, fresh, and fast. I wasn't expecting to be disappointed, but another restaurant in the city never disappoints me but also never impresses me..... Brockway's did. I also heard another patron say "this was incredible".

Next visit I'm having the fish tacos. I'm very specific on fish tacos. So stay tuned ?

Just got in town and was looking for a relatively healthy meal, as in not fried. Decided on their stir fry - very disappointing. The vegetables were limp and the carrots were shredded, not julienned liked the peppers; my one piece of broccoli still had a nice bite to it though. We got two orders with two different sauces and couldn't tell them apart. While not wanting fried food the meal instead was oily. We enjoy a good stir fry quite regularly but this was not one of them. At $48, taxes in, this was not a cheap meal and it should have been of much better quality.
