The service was good. The food was disappointing. The meal was rushed between courses which were much too quick to be ready for the next course. The salad I ordered was very bland (just greens, a couple of pieces of carrot and a miniscule amount of sugared almonds, but at the same time the dressing was too astringent…I could not finish it. No vegetarian options. Was there last week and was very nice overall but one appetizer and 2 meals took over 3 hours. Reservation was 7 and we left after 10. I'd like to have known it would be a three hour experience instead of an hour as expected. Had the rib, it was beef, not pork, was good.
We had the Newfoundland fare - an order of beer battered cod, cod tongues and dessert tarts of cloud berries and partridge berries. All foods were good but the star was the tarts. With a beer, a Bloody Caesar and tip, the bills was over $70.00. A little pricy but we’re on holidays.
