We visited this Mexican Restaurant a few months back and it did not disappoint. Great to see if different home cooked meal food options coming to this area. Everything was excellent and we hope to see this local small business around for years to come! They did a great job on the interior atmosphere as well. Unlike anything else in Corner Brook ?

The service and food was good, nicely decorated restaurant. I initially thought I was in the wrong place because I parked and entered a hotel, but that’s where the restaurant is located. The been purée enchiladas were delicious, so were the guacamole chips and churros!

Tlacuache is a hidden gem in Corner Brook that deserves attention. I am originally from Newfoundland but have lived abroad extensively as well as in Ontario, Alberta, Quebec and BC here in Canada, having just moved back home from Vancouver, and this is EASILY the undisputed best AUTHENTIC Mexican cuisine I have had outside of Mexico. That’s high praise. If you are used to texmex taco bell nonsense, this might not be what you’re expecting, but you should eat here anyway and expand your horizons. If you want real Mexican food, look no further, this is probably as close as you’re going to get. A taste of culture. This may not be something that you’re used to, but go with an open mind and try the food, you will fall in love with the flavour. My wife, who is Mexican, was overjoyed. The food reminded her of her mom’s; Newfoundlanders know it doesn’t get better than that. It’s also very reasonably priced and you can go and fill up without spending much! What else could you ask for? Check it out! Don’t forget to get some Horchata with whatever you order! Que Rico, delicioso!

I was extremely excited to eat my first burrito in Newfoundland. Especially authentic Mexican food. However it was hard to find and if I hadn’t went on a search and started walking the street looking and roamed into and hotel and asked about the place, I wouldn’t have found it. There is no sign posted outside to know where to find it. I found it via google maps. The owners are very nice and even gave me a sample of a sauce I had never tried. I was disappointed with my burrito which I actually got two of which I thought was odd. My past burrito experience is with a half pound or pound burrito at several different franchise brands in Ontario. My burritos were tiny, no rice, no bell peppers, onions, corn, salsa, sour cream, lime sauce, hot sauce. Beans, beef and taquiri sauce I believe it was called. I wasn’t impressed by appearance, presentation, taste, nor was I full because I didn’t eat the whole first burrito. The other wasn’t enjoyed by either of my 3 other residence in the household. I wish I had a better bigger burrito experience in Newfoundland so I could fulfill my craving. I love burritos. Even the quesadilla on the menu looked plain Jane.Thank you for your reply in my review. I will try to open my mind and stomach to a more authentic view of Mexican cuisine. Maybe I will see you again in the future

I have a pretty serious gluten sensitivity. Eating in Corner Brook always makes me nervous but this place had a robust menu of gf options and everything was delicious. The portion sizes and price were incredible. I can't wait to go back.

Based on new restaurant prices, by far the best bang for you buck. Roughly $10-$15 for a meal. Its a little light on fixins and theres no sides (which is fine considering the low price), but the burrito and torta were very very tasty. The churros were deliciously homemade with a creamy dulche de leche. It was also my first time getting horchata and it was incredible. Highly recommend.Great service too, although a little slow for our meals and drinks. Worth the wait though.Easy 5/5

I grew up in the southwest United States and visited Mexico regularly with my family. I’ve been living in Halifax for the past 3 years, and this was the most authentic tasting Mexican food that I’ve had anywhere in the maritimes. Just the scent of the quesadillas sent me back to my childhood. We absolutely loved it!We brought our 4 small children. The service and food were very kid friendly. The menu had lots of delicious vegetarian options, which we appreciated. Thanks for a great lunch! Wish we had time to stay and try the dinner menu. ?

Absolutely delicious food in lovely surroundings. The Azteca soup was so tasty. Really highly recommend this place but note to the owners, you should have a big sign outside so everyone knows you are there! The restaurant is inside a hotel and hard to know it's there.Muchas gracias ?Vegetarian options: Delicious potato tacos, quesadillas with mushroomsParking: Hotel parking around the backDietary restrictions: Corn tortillas for gluten free diets

Really great, authentic Mexican food. Not too salty or over seasoned - everything tasted very fresh. Cocktails were delicious as well! Definitely a must try if you are in town.
