The Missus and I were travelling with our boys, two sisters plus husbands and a nephew. A travelling group of nine with the extended family first time in Nfld. So I suggested Irving's Big Stop as our first meal when we landed in Deer Lake from the Westcoast. Some were hesitant.The meal turned out to be one of the best meals we had in Nfld. This is awesome places to stop, especially when traveling with dogs. They have small fenced area for your dog to stretch their legs. Couple benches so you can get take out and eat at the benches with your dogs. Food was kinda of expensive but a lot of different opinions.

My wife and I went for lunch. We had the soup of the day and that was a big bowl of soup. I had the seafood platter and it was fantastic. The fries I had were a little less crispy then I like but was great.
