Despite the recommendations and reviews, I will not return to this restaurant or recommend it. I had the worse Newfoundland cold plate in my life. Turkey was very dry, potato salads had no taste and the square cut carrot and beet jelly salad was awe full. Cheese cake was okay. Sorry but I had higher expectations for this place.
We stopped in for breakfast after leaving St. Pierre on the 8 am ferry. It was recommended by the person in the St. Pierre Visitor Centre in Fortune. Grand Bank is about a 10 to 15 minute drive from the ferry. A small café popular with locals so you know it is excellent. I had the French toast with hash browns. Delicious and well priced. Lots of items for sale by local craftspeople. Friendly staff.
