Popped in to the Easton while vacationing in the area in early October and were happy we did. The owner/bartender, Gord, was a great host and local historian. Not a very busy night when we went, but had a great time chatting with the very friendly locals. Menu was fairly big for a pub and they were serving food late. The cod bites I had were huge and quite inexpensive. This is a small town bar with the charm that comes with it. I would encourage anyone passing through there to stop in for a pint and a conversation.

An excellent evening at Easton's 1602 Pub in Harbour Grace, Newfoundland. We enjoyed the company of the people shown who make this pub such a warm place and patrons some of whom have lived in Harbour Grace since birth and some who moved away for careers and have returned in retirement. Here fishermen who make their livings with their hands on the sea mix with retired executives and we tourists. This is a great pub.
Vegetarian options: A delicious vegetarian pizza. There were other vegetarian options.

I must say i had a fantastic time . The servers were great and quick . The people made toy feel like you were home. I can't wait to bring my husband and come next year . See you all then
food was awesome the staff was top notch very beautiful experience and the historic building along with the way the place is decorated puts you back to the pirate days when Peter Easton hit the shores of Harbour Grace.

Food was a typical pub fair, which is always tasty. Pricing was as expected. However, I found that you would not be served a drink unless you walked over to the bar yourself. There was no table service. The pub itself has a theme, and everything is catered to that theme, which makes it fun.
Parking: Lots of free street parking surrounding the pub.

We stumbled upon the place as we were doing the Baccalieu coastal drive.Place was empty when we arrived (Wednesday around 6) but thanks to Darren and his guitar and the warm welcome from the placeâs owners, we had the best night of our trip!Veggie pizza was delicious, as well as the fried pickles.I definitely recommend to anyone passing by this town⊠considering the locals already know itâs the place to be!
