I thought I was buying a lovely ham sandwich but discovered that it had several slices of rind (no ham attached). Just black rind. I'm wondering if the owner is aware of this?

This bakery was truly a local gem in the area. Apparently it's under new management and it definitely shows. The sourdough bread i bought was awful. Did not taste like sourdough, more like chalky white bread with uncooked flour. The fish cakes were fish smelling flavored mashed potatoes. Not the traditional NL fish cakes I'm used to. Service was awful. The girl behind the counter definitely did not want to be there nor did she want to wait on customers. I always pride myself on supporting local businesses however will pass on this place in the future. Demand quality and good service. You are paying for it.

Such a cozy little spot with a ton of variety! Their home cooked meals are always spot on and the baked goods are even better. There is something for everyone and the prices are great.

been shopping here for years. so good! tried the scones today for the first time. they are delightful. love the new renos!
I love the pre-packaged meals here! Everything I have tried has been delicious and they carry a good variety. Last time I was in it looked like they were renovating so I am excited to see what they do to the inside of the place.

The food is par none. The staff are friendly. There is not enough selection but this establishment is for sale so that could have a lot to do with inventory.
