“Probably the best meal I’ve ever had! My steak was cooked to perfection and so juicy. My husband’s lobster came out on a sizzling platter and it hit all the senses! We had a few other tastings and everything hit the mark. Great atmosphere, beautiful views, you can’t go wrong. Thank you, to you and your staff for our first meal in Newfoundland an excellent one!”

“I LOVE this food (I’m not vegetarian). The owner is the sweetest person and always gives me free tea, soup, and appetizers while I wait for my food.

I’ve been lucky enough to sit in there twice since they’re always super busy as it’s only the couple cooking.

Definitely recommend calling ahead for either dine in or take out.”

“I tend to visit different local restaurants weekly as a small treat during a long work week. With limited selection of restaurants my feedback is mostly based on the environment and friendliness of the server during my time spent there. As it is common for me to dine alone during lunch the bar staff is usually my point of contact!

Alyssa was the wonderful server I had the pleasure of having during my most recent visit. She was friendly, responsive and engaging. Staff like this is the backbone of any restaurant. Of course the food must be on par, which it certainly was, but in my opinion, without good personable service even the best of foods can leave a bad taste in your mouth. 5 stars for Alyssa!”

“Had a couple nights at the Embassy while in St.John’s. Great spot!! Staff was awesome and friendly, while somewhat “saucy” (Joe and Tracy)! 😂 Locals were fun and made me feel like part of the group (Ally, Chris & Jeff, who talks too much)!! Local talent was awesome and can definitely sing and play to keep everyone entertained!! I will be back!!”

“This lovely little bakery was recommended to us while in St John's for work. We loved stopping in each morning for matcha latte and americano. We also picked up some treats. On my last day, I enjoyed working from the bakery, and picked up some ginger cookies and bagels to bring home to my family. I would love to visit again next time I'm in St. John's!”

“This place came recommended by my neighbor .. The bread was delicious, it was gone in a heart beat and was crunchy and soft inside yum and tasty . The chocolate and plain croissant were ok not for me , but hey every bakery has its star and at the Georgetown it their bagels I thought st viateur would never have a contender this came close , a touch sweet but perfectly hugged a sunny side egg , Swiss cheese and some salmon !!! You can’t go wrong and they’ll hold some for you just incase they run out during the rush , added bonus :)”

“We stayed for 3 nights for our daughter's wedding. Our room was first class with w.c., large bath and large walk-in shower. It was quiet, facing the rear of the building. The front pedestrian way can be a bit noisy with revellers. Spotlessly clean, with aircon and fridge. The restaurant offered a varied evening menu, and the cuisine was superb. Likewise, a good choice for breakfast, and large portions. I had the 2 egg breakfast, and the eggs were cooked precisely to my instructions. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. This was my second visit, and I look forward to my third.”

“Their burrito is delicious, crispy around the tortilla, paired nicely with a few Blue Star lagers. Loved the atmosphere and the staff was very kind despite. If you’re vegan, request your food as vegan. They do have regular cheese and sour cream to be inclusive to those who aren’t entirely vegan. Updated from previous review on 2026-03-04”

“First time ordering Noodles Express and it was 300% worth it! We did a dinner for 4 and we had enough left for left overs the next day! By the time you take a portion of each thing you’re filling your plate and then some! The beef in the beef and broccoli would melt in your mouth, it was so tender! If you haven’t tried Noodles Express, you’re missing out!”
