Everyone absolutely loved the food, service and atmosphere. We were blown away by the unique flavours and variety on the menu (the kids meals were fabulous as well). This is a do not miss restaurant if you are in St. John's!”

Our table was in a "cozy" corner (maybe a wee bit too cozy ?) but it didn't hamper our enjoyment of the evening. We stuck with fish and chips, which was a decent meal. Service was very friendly but a bit slow, but we weren't in a hurry.”

“2024.03.03 Terre – “Bistro Burger” I sit quietly at a downtown restaurant waiting for my first burger of the 2024 season. The long awaited Downtown Burger Battle (DBB) has arrived, and Terre has promised big things - I have come to see if they will deliver. “Crispy shallots”, I say to myself repeatedly before moving on to “Au Jus” in the frenchiest of accents. “Au Jus”! While the order came quickly, it seemed like an eternity. Terre was full, loud with the hustle and bustle of the brunch brigade. The burger hath arrived, towering over a bed of crispy fries, a side of aioli and a cup of au jus. I went to the burger first, griping it in my powerful hands, compressing the bun just enough to wrap my lips around the fresh, flaky bun. My first bite.... The lights went off, the people were gone. The noise replaced with silence, and the only thing left was the burger and I, or me and the burger…. Sometimes I get confused with the ‘me’ and ‘I’ placement in these situations. Nevertheless, I close my eyes and was transported away. It was the summer of 1989. There were many people running around a grassy meadow deep down in cabin country on the burin peninsula. The meadow was full of big red trikes, and the kids were playing lawn darts - expertly ducking and weaving to avoid be pierced by the sharpened metal shanks flying overhead. “Why did Uncle Phonse sharpen the lawn darts” I remember asking my father to no response. You could smell the charcoal and the smoke coming from the burgers being cooked on those old BBQ pits. I opened my eyes and went in for my 2nd bite. The onion jam offered a sweetness that complimented the salty crunch of the crispy shallot. The meat, perfectly seasoned and juicy with browned crispy ends to delight your bite. Dipping the burger into the beefy au jus took it up another notch... when you already thought you were on top notch. My tongue, snake-like, darting across my lips and chin, lapping up stray sauce and some run-a-way crispy shallot. The bun.. light and airy - not unlike a passion flaky, but with much more passion! I now call this restaurant Fed-Ex, because they deliver! Where will the Terre burger take you? VIVE LE TERRE NOUVEAU!! VIVE LE TERRE NOUVEAU!!”
