I called the store(Blackmark Road) and explained to the employee I had made a mistake and she was very friendly and told me not to worry and she would have my order ready at the correct time. “Ok where to start! We asked to do a group booking for our minor baseball team. This lovely establishment helped us with a pre order menu and booking, and then when we showed up they had a whole area reserved for not only our team, but families as well! The service was top notch and extraordinarily efficient for such a large group. Special thanks to Brenda for helping with the booking, Aidan and staff for the impeccable St. John’s welcome to this group from Alberta. Sorry I wish I had more names, everyone was so amazing. The live band also amazing. And the food…. So so good! Thank you so much for the hospitality.”

“When I was living in St John’s I was so grateful for Peaceful Loft, it’s 100% vegan. It’s an independent business and all of the food is made with love. It’s one of my favourite vegan restaurants in the world 🩷 The owners are so kind and the food is delicious! The Splendid Tofu was often my go-to option but I always enjoyed every meal I had at the restaurant (or as a takeaway/takeout). I would suggest bringing along a pot for leftovers, but they will also provide if needed, as portions are large… they are very generous 🤓 Updated from previous review on 2026-02-04”

“Had a couple nights at the Embassy while in St.John’s. Great spot!! Staff was awesome and friendly, while somewhat “saucy” (Joe and Tracy)! 😂 Locals were fun and made me feel like part of the group (Ally, Chris & Jeff, who talks too much)!! Local talent was awesome and can definitely sing and play to keep everyone entertained!! I will be back!!”

“I ordered the BBQ wings with sweet potato fries. The wings were decent, but the BBQ sauce was a bit too heavy on the molasses for my taste. About half of the sweet potato fries seemed like they'd been cooked twice and were overdone, which was disappointing. That said, it was wing night, the prices were very reasonable, and the service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. With a bit more consistency from the kitchen, this place has a lot of potential.”

“This lovely little bakery was recommended to us while in St John's for work. We loved stopping in each morning for matcha latte and americano. We also picked up some treats. On my last day, I enjoyed working from the bakery, and picked up some ginger cookies and bagels to bring home to my family. I would love to visit again next time I'm in St. John's!”

“We stayed for 3 nights for our daughter's wedding. Our room was first class with w.c., large bath and large walk-in shower. It was quiet, facing the rear of the building. The front pedestrian way can be a bit noisy with revellers. Spotlessly clean, with aircon and fridge. The restaurant offered a varied evening menu, and the cuisine was superb. Likewise, a good choice for breakfast, and large portions. I had the 2 egg breakfast, and the eggs were cooked precisely to my instructions. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. This was my second visit, and I look forward to my third.”

“Their burrito is delicious, crispy around the tortilla, paired nicely with a few Blue Star lagers. Loved the atmosphere and the staff was very kind despite. “We just had the pleasure of dining at The post Taphouse this evening, New Year’s Eve. The decor was so cozy and intimate, music at just the right volume to allow conversation, server was friendly and very professional. The food…can’t say enough good about it. Fabulous! Nowhere in St. John’s area tonight could food be any better! Compliments to the chef and staff! Thank you for a memorable experience!”

“First time ordering Noodles Express and it was 300% worth it! We did a dinner for 4 and we had enough left for left overs the next day! By the time you take a portion of each thing you’re filling your plate and then some! The beef in the beef and broccoli would melt in your mouth, it was so tender! If you haven’t tried Noodles Express, you’re missing out!”
