“I ordered the Whale burger platter. The burger was outstanding. Cooked perfectly, the toppings were exactly what I like. They added a little spice to really bump up the flavour. The homemade fries were the best. Nice and hot, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. My friend had the fish and chips. The fish was fresh with a nice light crispy coating. My friend thought it was also outstanding. This was a great find on our trip through Newfoundland!”

“Really great place! The guy serving was very kind and friendly. The portions were good and the food wasn’t bad! Perfect place to be and we will be back!”

“The food was excellent, the service however was not. Had to ask for silverware, the servers didn’t offer drinks, they never returned to the table to see if our meal was ok or if they could get us anything else. One of the servers spent her time sitting in a corner talking to an elderly woman while dictating to the other worker that “ur gonna mop and I’ll vacuum, ur gonna do dishes while I restock the muffins”. The poor girl who was doing the work behind the cash and serving deserved her tips that day.”

“Walked in for some take out fish and chips. Food was amazing a great portions for the price. Super good tartar sauce and delicious fish and chips. About 30 min wait once we ordered so we went down to the market to get some Quidi Vidi Brewery drinks. Sat out at the picnic tables to enjoy our food and the sunset was gorgeous, bugs were a bit bad though. I wouldn’t say the service was amazing, the server seems annoyed we ordered food was hoping we would just leave when she said it would take 30 mins to make.”

“If you are looking for an amazing cup of coffee might I suggest Java Jacks Blend. We have been in the area for a few days now and I think I have worn a new path from where we are staying to where they are located. While enjoying your coffee take a look around at some of the beautiful locally curated artwork, soaps, and jewellery I promise you, that you will likely end up leaving with something else (a bag of brew, some baked goods, and soap are just a few of the items in my car now). To top it off the staff are very welcoming and kind.”

“Best restaurant in Rocky Harbour. Great service and staff made everytime we visited a positive experience. Enjoyed getting their pizza multiple times when I was visiting the area and would recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.”

“I was there 2 years ago in July while on a road trip around NL with husband and brother. So good 😋Loved it! The guys had bear burgers and I had the cod. Great food and service. Hubby and I live in Colorado so can’t get back soon but I encourage everyone else to go and write about your delicious meal.”
