My husband, sister-in-laws and I got Screeched In by Skipper Lukey. He was INCREDIBLE!!! He was knowledgeable, friendly, entertaining and funny. Worth every penny. We even got a certificate to prove we did it 🤣 If you are looking for a true Newfoundlander experience, this is the place to do it.
This “Screeching In” with Skipper Lukey is beyond worth the cost. The experience, from start to finish, is entertaining, funny, and moving.
Kissing the cod, isn’t so bad. As one girl we met said “I have kissed much worse on George Street” and even the Screech was better than expected.
The gourmet bologna impressed, as it did Anthony Bourdain.

Christian's is always a good time, on my first visit to Newfoundland I came here to get Screeched, it was such a good experience and great atmosphere. The only downside and it's really not a big deal, they don't sell food, but you can go to the bar next door and grab takeout and bring it back to the bar with you.
