The flavors in the food here are amazing. I went with a 4 instead of a 5 only because the beef in my tibs was incredibly tough and hard to chew. But don't let that stop you from trying the other dishes!

I’ve eaten Ethiopian food in many Toronto restaurants. So imagine my surprise to find the best tasting Ethiopian food in St. John’s ! The flavours are just solid. I loved it so much I took my leftovers to the airport so that I don’t have to leave a single bite to waste. You HAVE to try this!
Wow! If you're looking for a taste of authentic Ethiopian food, this is the place. The family team welcomes you in if you're visiting their home. Thank you mom for the delicious lunch, thank you sister for the tasty dessert (oh that warm chocolate on the coffee cake), and thank you G-man for the service and coffee and teaching us how to drink it Ethiopian style.
Great tasting food with great friendly service! I ordered the veggie combo with lamb. The lentils were delicious and the lamb was perfectly spiced. Will definitely go back again!

My friend who is local here told me that Ethiopian Cuisine Plus has the best Ethiopian food in St. John's. He was definitely correct! Situated conveniently right at the base of Signal Hill, this cute little restaurant packs a punch when it comes to serving great food in a great atmosphere. The restaurant is cute, with plenty of Ethiopian-style decor, beautiful colours, and music playing in the background. It was clean and inviting. The menu isn't overly complex, and I enjoyed the Injera veggie combo with Lamb, and a Chicken Sambusa as an appetizer. The food came out freshly hot, and did not last long. The Injera was wonderfully light & fluffy, and the mix of dishes in the platter were so fragrant. I didn't leave feeling too full, but absolutely satisfied. It is definitely a local gem, and perfect for a meal before or after hiking around Signal Hill. I hope lots of locals and tourists keep visiting this restaurant! I have tried only a few Ethiopian restaurants in Canada, and when it comes to fantastic flavor, Ethiopian Cuisine Plus takes the prize!

Loved finding this place in the middle of Newfoundland! The owner is from Ethiopia and the flavors he produces and his kitchen staff are incredible! Well seasoned with local flavors and you get a variety platter of different curries and vegetables to try.
