This is the best Five Guys location in North America hands down! I've been all over Canada and the US and I have to say the manager (Ray) at the Avalon Mall location in St. Johns Newfoundland is the most professional, friendly and enthusiastic employee I've ever met in my life. I've been a manager working for a customer service based company worth 200 billion dollars for 24 years and have never met someone as good as Ray, this guy would be amazing at anything I'm sure of it! The staff here treats you with respect and never makes a mistake, perfect service and food every visit I've been there for 2 years straight. Great job everyone especially Ray 👏

The food was pretty good.The small fry’s are definitely the best value there after that everything else was expensive. 7.49 dollars for a milkshake is too much money.the atmosphere was ok but me and my friends thought that it was too hot inside the place so we eat at the food court. Overall five guys is 4 stars the food is pretty good but to expensive I RECOMMEND THE SMALL FRIES 🍟 and inside its to hot

I would give 0 stars if I could. Went in there for a Cajun Poutine. And asked for a bunch of grilled veggies on top. On got jalapeños and peppers. The they made a blood bath out of the Cajun spice and the poutine is unbearable salty. I think this is a way of the employees to take revenge for stopping for delicious food 45mins before the closing time of 10pm. Terrible service!

Worker who took our order was pleasant and patient. We order a burger, bacon burger shared a regular fry, chocolate milkshake and a medium pop. Cost was around $42.00. Found that the burgers were soggy and did not hold up to the patty. Fries were ok nothing special. Not in any hurry to go back again.

My first visit to a Five Guys outlet: the location is great and is accessible from inside the mall and outside. The location doesn't have a drive-through but it's fairly close to the parking lot. The staff I met on my visit were friendly. My order was served fairly quickly, but there weren't many customers anyway.
I ordered a standard "all-the-way" cheeseburger ("all-the-way" refers to the standard version of the fillings/toppings of the burger - you can customise it). The patties were juicy but lacked flavour. Overall, I felt like the items of the burger didn't blend very well, so everything stood out individually. The bun was flavourful but felt soggy and was falling apart.
The interiors are nice and consistent. The styling feels thematic and the music is pop, groovy and always on.
Will update if I visit again.

This was our first time trying Five Guys and it did not disappoint. The portions are huge, the burgers were juicy and the milkshakes were delicious. Even my very picky eater gobbled his burger up.
