We came here for lunch and ordered the frittata with the side of the daily soup and fried cod cakes with the side of potato wedges. The food was lovely, filling, and not greasy at all. The fried cod cakes were absolutely delicious!

Me and my wife ordered the same thing “ Hurdy breakfast”, but with my eggs over hard. My eggs were not over hard and they filled her plate with fries and toast and shorted me. I would not eat

I was pretty disappointed with our experience, especially when the place had so many good reviews. The food tasted old, felt like rubber and was in very small portion for the price paid. A breakfast with one egg (so cooked it was like rubber), some veggies (boiled tomatoes and spinach) and old potatoes cost $16 plus tax and tips. The waiter made us feel very uncomfortable and reached at us a couple of times. I am unsure what that was about but I will give them the benefit of the doubt. All in all a bad experience. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

This was my first time here. I didn’t like the quesadilla. And the potatoes tasted old.
Had lunch. Good service. Bean soup with greens and tomato very tasty. Chipotle mayo sandwich good though a bit heavy on the bread. Great spot
I went here for lunch as it was a short 600 meters from the Sheraton Newfoundland Hotel. Great food! The chef is really good, the service was prompt and courteous, and the prices were far lower than what I would have expected for the quality.
I'm gonna give an objective review since I'm not from NL and because I've only been there once. The cafe in itself is cute with a warm ambiance.First I was disappointed because I expected them to offer a variety of coffee like espresso but they only have regular filter coffee which isn't bad. Then, the service wasn't bad, but it was kinda strange.. From what I could grasp, I think employees there are being rehabilitated to society by being offered a job at this cafe by the church. Please, tell me if I'm wrong.I think it's great! More places should do this. But like I said it was kinda strange.. I think one of the server didn't like my boyfriend and he was giving him weird intense looks. I had to point it out. Then, the food was good. I had the applebutter grilled cheese. But the portion is too small for the price.I can't give a better rating because of these reasons. I'm still glad I tried it.

If you are in the area, eat here. If you are nowhere near the area, make the journey to come eat here. You will not regret it. The food is amazing and delicious. I would 100% marry the chef for their soup of the day.Ambiance is adorable, relaxing and on point. Everything I could ask for in a cafe is here: curtains to show off the windows and draw attention to the natural lighting, copious amounts of houseplants, expert use of accent lighting. I honestly never want to eat anywhere else.
