Very cute spot that feels plucked right out of the 1990s. Glad to see that this kinda place can still survive in today’s climate even if only by nostalgia. The service was friendly and the food was solid for what it was, classic pub food with a bit of a Tex-Mex twist. Not a Newfoundlander by birth so can speak on this without being influenced by childhood memories, the place isn’t exactly fine dining but it’s more than solid for what it is!

Just today I visited here. Nice , tidy , clean atmosphere at around 11:30 AM Greeted and seated efficiently, menus provided and beverages ordered. Very polite , friendly and courteous server took our order , brought it to us in good time and checked back appropriately to see how all was. I had to remark how clean , spotless the washroom was. It actually smelled good too. On leaving , we were thanked for visiting by the male server and the female lady at the counter. Wished us a good day on leaving. Very nice experience.

I ordered from this Jungle Jims this evening to be delivered by Door Dash, Jungle Jims gave the Dasher the wrong order. I called to the store, spoke to the manager and got no where with it. He told me there was nothing he could do for me and I had to pay more money to order something on Door Dash to get the meal delivered to me again. Only because it was for my child living in St.John's and had no supper that I ordered a water that cost me $6 to get his meal Delivered. The restaurant screwed up, They should of Paid the Door Dash second time, not me . POOR SERVICE !!!!

I wanted some nostalgia since I was back in St. John's after 12 years, so Jungle Jim's was perfect!
I got seated right away and Josh, my server, was really great.
I got the fish and chips and it was all really good.

Waited for someone to come over and seat us, then were seated up in a corner and waited 15 minutes still no one came to ask about a drink even got up and left no one even bothered to acknowledge us walking out the door. Definitely not the service we are used to there. We took our business elsewhere . I could understand if it was busy but the girl who originally waited to seat us was to busy texting on her phone when we left to notice us leaving as we walked past her.

We started off with a blue raspberry lemonade which didn't have any lemonade taste at all which was disappointing. For food we had a Chipotle burger and a pulled pork sandwich. The burger patty was a bit charred beyond our liking but it still tasted fine. The pulled pork tasted really good, but there wasn't much meat on the sandwich. The real star was the funnel cake fries .. they were delicious. Overall pretty good!
Our never used gift card had $0 on it which was confusing, but not the servers fault. The servers were very nice and checked on us an appropriate amount of times.
Has not changed much in 25+ years but still a good place to grab a burger/wings. Not overly expensive compared to other local pub food spots.
