Our dining experience at Loose Tie was the best we have had locally since the pandemic. I was worried the service industry couldn't return to the same standard as before, but I am pleasantly surprised with this overlooked spot to eat. I will return soon. The food is fresh and fast. The service is impeccable. Our server Janel knew every detail about the menu we asked and she made us feel like royalty. I cannot recommend this place more. I would put a 10 star out of 5 star...
This is our first time travelling to St. John’s and we wanted to try as many food options as possible. Loose Tie left a remarkable impression on us and we cannot wait to come back on our future travels. The food was extremely fresh and delicious, and fast. The service was outstanding, our server Janel was very accommodating to our 11 month old and made it an experience he could enjoy as well. She described each menu item in detail and gave us some recommendations which we loved....

I have to be honest, with the lounge atmosphere, I walked in thinking I was in for some mediocre and overpriced dinner. But what quickly arrived at the table were some of the best dishes we had in Newfoundland!
The charcuterie was excellent and left me wondering were it was procured from (I had just searched the area for a deli and struggled to find comparable options), the grilled squid was amazing and left lingering...
