Ok where to start! We asked to do a group booking for our minor baseball team. This lovely establishment helped us with a pre order menu and booking, and then when we showed up they had a whole area reserved for not only our team, but families as well! O'Reilly's Irish Newfoundland Pub offers a lively atmosphere with great music and a diverse crowd. The service is good, and the beer selection is varied. Customers can enjoy traditional East Coast music performances while savoring local dishes like chowder, cod tongues, and fish and chips. The pub also features VLT machines for entertainment. Conveniently located on George Street, it is a popular spot for both locals and visitors seeking an authentic Irish pub experience.
The pub has an authentic feel, with friendly and attentive staff. The menu has a great selection, and the seafood is excellent. Customers can get "screeched in" at a reasonable price, which many find more affordable than other places in St. John's. The atmosphere is lively, and entertainment like the Kitchen Parti adds to the fun. The food is tasty and reasonably priced, with the 1 pc fish and chips being a standout. Customers also enjoy sharing dishes like toutons, mussels, salt beef fritters, and cod cakes, finding them delicious and perfect for sharing. The pub’s unique old building, with its different floor heights and alcoves, adds to its charm. The stage setup is great, providing enough space for dancing, and the music is enjoyable, especially the trad tunes.
Jasmine, the bartender, is highly praised for her friendliness and attentiveness. She helps customers pick out beers, including some that are quite old but beloved by locals. The lively environment, good prices, and friendly staff make O'Reilly's a favorite spot. Overall, the pub provides a memorable and authentic Irish pub experience that keeps visitors coming back.
