I was charged $14.95 for one glass of Pinot Grigio on our night out - Jan 4. Not impressed with this ridiculous price when this is the cost for a whole bottle of some brands! 😡

If you are going to charge over $4 for a coffee (that I understand includes refills) please please please make a STRONG/decent cup.

A traditional pub, with lively music, good food, and friendly service, on George Street.

Everything I was hoping for in an Irish pub. Excellent music, story telling, nice ambiance, good food and laughter! I did quite a bit of search to find the right place for my appetite amongst the music venues and I am happy that I invested the time to do that. I made a reservation for a table close to the stage but I suppose that may have not been required. When we arrived, a group of musicians were jamming and playing around a large table before Fergus O’Byrne started playing his songs. Purely folklore and wonderfully performed. For the meal, I had the Veggie quesadilla which was a good portion and tasty and YellowBelly Pale Ale. It was a memorable night for sure!

The music is very local. It's really gone. The drinks are OK, but a little expensive. A dollar or two. Also, I don't understand why they charge for a cover. I recommend for a local experience of Newfoundland. Don't touch the food.

Great live singer and atmosphere is ok. Unfortunately, staff aren't very friendly as I was expecting, comparing to other restaurants we've been in St John's. I ask why there's no Kilkenny and Guinness in a supposed to be a famous Irish pub and all I got to was a "I don't know and and a shoulder shrug"
We also book Friday night, which supposed to be the salt beef junkies performing and looks like it change to someone else. Which is not a big deal. But I'm really disappointed with not having Guinness and Kilkenny. . Also not worth paying extra $8 + tax for a stage view. Looks like everyone inside the restaurant have stage view while we were there.

Hit & miss with service. Went on a Thursday and couldn’t get service. Went over to greensleeves and was served phenomenally (same amount of people in there)
Went on the following Saturday and same thing, we got served and then never checked on again. Ever. Had to go up the bar and get everything from additional drinks to our bill.
But it is your classic St. John’s pub, so if you want the ambience, it’s fantastic. If you want service, you have to do it yourself.

A great place for a drink and some live music - I really enjoyed the show. We just stopped in for a couple of drinks, but will come back to eat next time! Wonderful atmosphere, wait staff are friendly.

An "Irish" pub that doesn't have Guinness or Kilkenny, either on draught or in bottles or cans? Really???

Hello everyone, I tell you… the food in this pub is surprisingly delicious!!! We ordered some mussels, very well served and a Classic poutine, the live music was very nice and the people were very lively dancing, the only thing is that the dinos are a little poorly served (the distilled ones), we had a good time ?
