Nice rooftop
Mediocre food and poor service. The burger was tasteless and dry. The only salvation is the live music. Probably fine for drinks and music. Pass if looking for a good meal.
Friendly bar with great music and vibes.
We had the Irish mussels and a couple of drinks. There were lots of fresh mussel and they were quite tasty. It was one of the few bars that had live music mid afternoon, which was enjoyable. I would say the service was friendly and prompt, but seemed to be doing us a favor, seating us with no reservations. All in all a good experience, but might try another place next night out.
Location & Parking: easy to find and plenty of street parking.
Accessibility: the restaurant is accessible from the street but the washrooms are in the basement. I’m not sure if there are wheelchair accessible washrooms.
Aesthetics: this bar and restaurant was quite charming and had an authentic feel.
Service: all the staff were very attentive, friendly, and helpful.
Food: the menu had a great selection and the seafood was excellent.
Extras: there is live music every night. We were able to get screeched in and it only cost $15 per person, unlike other places in St John’s that charge as much as $50 if you don’t have a reservation weeks in advance.
I would recommend O’Reilly’s to anyone coming to St John’s.
Great pub. Standard food offerings. They offer a lot of live music and a fairly decent night life
Only real downside was the cash only cover. Otherwise, atmosphere was great, our server was excellent, the food was tasty and really reasonably priced (especially the 1 pc fish and chips), and the entertainment (Kitchin Parti) was great fun. I wish we'd been able to catch more of their set! Would definitely come back.
I was charged $14.95 for one glass of Pinot Grigio on our night out - Jan 4. Not impressed with this ridiculous price when this is the cost for a whole bottle of some brands! 😡
Great live music and selection of bevvies on tap. I enjoyed the Newfoundland Cider!

If you are going to charge over $4 for a coffee (that I understand includes refills) please please please make a STRONG/decent cup.
A traditional pub, with lively music, good food, and friendly service, on George Street.

Everything I was hoping for in an Irish pub. Excellent music, story telling, nice ambiance, good food and laughter! I did quite a bit of search to find the right place for my appetite amongst the music venues and I am happy that I invested the time to do that. I made a reservation for a table close to the stage but I suppose that may have not been required. When we arrived, a group of musicians were jamming and playing around a large table before Fergus O’Byrne started playing his songs. Purely folklore and wonderfully performed. For the meal, I had the Veggie quesadilla which was a good portion and tasty and YellowBelly Pale Ale. It was a memorable night for sure!
