The atmosphere was fair with some good local music but a little too loud for the venue. The seating was a bit uncomfortable. I had cod bites with fries which was okay. When our very disinterested waitress brought out the $ 26.00 dinner salad that my wife had ordered the portion was so small it was laughable. The chicken breast was as dry as the Sahara Desert. It crumbled and was so dry it was inedible! When I complained and returned the dish the follow up was terrible!!

My husband and I went to O'Reillys for an Anniversary Dinner. We both ordered. We got our drinks. He received his meal and I did not. I waited around 20- 30 minutes after he received his and I still didn't get anything. He ended up sharing his meal with me. Not the experience I was expecting. Very disappointed. Will not be going there again. We went to another bar where the service was way better and we actually got our food.

**#3 – O’Reilly’s (Pub Crawl Stop)**
Fighting Irish Red Ale and a table of lads playing trad tunes — felt like walking into the heart of Ireland. 🍺🎻🇮🇪 Razi was great

Server did not take our drink order until we were almost finished our food so at that point, we chose not to order any alcoholic drinks. No napkins were provided with our appetizer. We requested our bill but had to go to the bar to get it to pay. For a pub, not having drinks in timely manner is not acceptable!!!

Best bar in town by far. We went into several bars/pubs over over several day stay in St John’s and O’Reilly’s is by far the best in town. The music is varied but all good. Service and prices were great, even their screech in option was super and reasonably priced. Highly recommend this pub

Pretty ordinary experience, item missed on the food order, extra thing forgotten about, generally meh service. And live music was okay then a long break so no music for half our meal, which you’re charger for, so not the greatest time

It's Pub food so I'd say the food was good. The staff were very friendly.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon during Canada games. Live music was good but the overall vibe was pretty low. There was even a wedding party on the upper level but that didn’t really liven up the place.

The food is overpriced and not great quality! Everything is just heated from frozen.

Beers are fair priced but many of the local beers were not available.

My family is from Newfoundland, but this was my first trip back since I was 14 (and too young for George Street). We were only there for a couple weeks, but managed to go to O’Reilly’s twice because we had so much fun we lost interest in even trying to experience a new bar for our last night and just wanted to go back.

We got the toutons (not as good as Nan’s but close), mussels, salt beef fritters, and cod cakes, all delicious and great to share.

Exactly the atmosphere you’d want, easy, casual and a party all at the same time, and in a perfect old St. John’s building where there’s 17 different heights of flooring and weird alcoves and you know they haven’t changed anything because it’s great the way it is.

Best stage set up we saw with room for dancing, and we loved all the music (Kitchen Parti was a particular favourite).

Jasmine was our bartender both times and she was totally awesome. Super nice and attentive and helped me pick out a beer as I wasn’t familiar with a lot of them.

Here’s how I got rightfully mocked: she chose India, which I loved (probably too much), and I went home and told my family about the fantastic new beer I had found, and they all proceeded to laugh their butts off telling me yeah, they were all very familiar, as it’s so old it was my grandparents beer. Whoops, was new to me. Jasmine remembered the next week when we came back (and everyone else’s drink orders) and even offered up suggestions on where else I could get it.

TL:DR; O’Reilly’s totally lives up to it’s reputation, go see Jasmine and Kitchen Parti, and if you also haven’t been to Newfoundland since you were 14 do not attempt to recommend India to your family.
