I loved this restaurant but it's been closed since the Covid outbreak, hopefully it will open soon. The food was awesome and it had a very nice atmosphere, you can relax and feel like your in your own private space. The staff were always very friendly, if or when it opens again, I would greatly recommend trying it out.
Service was fast, our meals were really good, and prices are reasonable.
If I could give half stars I would have rated PJ Billingtons 3.5. We were seated promptly, and our server was very attentive. Drinks came quickly. Food arrived promptly. The mussels were delicious and the wings were tasty. Our entrees lacked flavor, were pretty bland and forgettable. Overall service was great and the food was ok.
Great spot for brunch, great food, good service. We were seated in the sunroom area in December, therefore it was very cold, I had to keep my jacket on the whole meal.
One of the best breakfast around . looks forward to their breakfast, and their homemade soup.but you don,t get much in your bowl ,when it come to their soup, just a very small bowl, and I love soup, but not a enough, too bad,be still hungry when I leaves,if a person just want soup and nothing else, too cheat with their soup, when I ask for just soup, had to ask for more and pay double for second bowl.
Comfortable and cozy. Never crowded. Brunches are the best.
I have given this place multiple tries and unfortunately I (nor my company) have ever had warm meals. they always come out cool/cold . is there not a warming area? If so -it is broken. Also seems they are always understaffed giving one person all responsibilities (host, bar, server, cashier) - who is not to blame. The staff member has always been patient and friendly. The serving sizes are ok - prices high (being in a hotel I suspect). Ordering the prime rib medium rare gets you well done. Salmon is always well over cooked too. I can say the Seafood Chowder is awesome - however - again a bit overpriced. Done giving them chances.
I have dined here many times and haven’t had a problem until today. We were seated at noon and the girl finally comes to take our order at 12:15. We decided to order our tea and coffee, and meal, right away because we had a feeling we were going to have a long wait. So we ordered two baskets of onion rings for starters (there were 6 of us). At 12:30 we still didn’t have our drinks. I went down and asked her when she thought we would get our coffee, and she said “sorry, so
This restaurant is located in the Ramada on Kenmount Road. We ate here the first night because we were too tired to go out, and had breakfast here once to use the $10 voucher provided by the hotel. At dinner, I had cod and chips, the cod was very good, but the fries had a mushy texture, greasy and quite dark in colour. I think the oil in the deep fryer needed changing. Hubby gave his tuscan chicken flatbread with a side Greek salad a 7 out of 10. The Bloody Mary was terrible, the gingerale was flat. Service was okay, but the server completely forgot to bring the second beer my husband ordered. For the breakfast, I had oatmeal; the server warned me it was packaged Quaker oats, that was nice of her, but it was fine. Husband had eggs, ham and home fries, which was okay. The home fries looked and tasted like frozen, not made fresh. Service was fast and the food came out quickly. But unless you’re in a hurry before your flight, go to Cora’s at 80 Kenmount (see my review) for a really good breakfast.
Excellent service and food.... Most enjoyable.
Restaurantji Recommends
Food was good, service was excellent and the decorum was great, over all i would recommend it highly.
Went on a date here and I did not have too high of expectations and yet they were abundantly exceeded. The decor of the restaurant looks quite beautiful and relaxing (although very old fashioned which may not be everyones taste). Our server was very sweet to us and the food was honestly delicious! I had a chickpea tomota curry kind of dish (forget the actual name) and my date enjoyed a stir fry. Both were large in portion sizing and were very good! I would highly recommend to give this spot a try, great for a family dinner, less so on the romantic side.
We were staying at a neighbouring hotel and thought we would try this restaurant out. We ordered the steak (It was fine but no better than that), Chicken Parmesan was good, our son liked it, Shrimp Alfredo pasta (our daughter enjoyed it) and my husband ordered the roast beef. He went to Swiss Chalet the next night and ordered Roast beef and he said it was better. The prices were expected for hotel fare but nothing was exceptional.
Service is always great and nice menu! Love their pan fried cod!
My family and I always enjoy Pj’s. They have some special menu items and always offer great prices! The last time we went, my parents and I shared the mini Yorkshire puddings which were very tasty and unique. My dad had the turkey sand which, mom had a salad with grilled chicken, and I had I had a naan pizza (all pictured). All were more then generous portions and delicious! I ate half of my pizza for supper and the rest the next day for lunch. So filling and tasty. We will continue to come back!
