I am visiting from Calgary and went to Pop’s diner for dinner a couple of nights ago! Every single moment was amazing! From the atmosphere, the employees to the food! It was the best hot turkey sandwich with fries dressing and gravy I’ve ever had!! Home cooked meals with huge servings!! I will definitely be back on my next trip to The Rock!
Absolutely wonderful experience. Everything about it made me happy. Delicious milkshake, amazing food, retro music, retro appearance, cheerful staff. 100% will go back.
Portions size are great. Food is great. Coffee is great. Glad to have found this place.

It was our first day to St John’s.We didn’t felt we were in mood for a regular dinner so we searched for a seafood chowder (seafood soup) and it was delicious ? light healthy dinner. The restaurant was ancient like you went back in time in the time machine lol. The service was friendly and fast. The menu looks good so would love to come back another time and try something else!

Went to Pop’s twice while I was in St. John’s food was excellent. We had breakfast with fish cakes, sausages, eggs, hash browns and Toutons. We’ll be back in a heartbeat next time in town.
Nice place , beautiful decor. Like a 50's or 60's diner. Food is tasty and has a decent menu. Prices are reasonable. All in all, great casual dining experience

Food was pretty good! Was excited to try. Atmosphere was cute, just like a diner out of the 70's.
Staff was pleasant enough, but i felt very rushed. It was Hubby and I, and 2 teenagers. Girl came by a couple times during the meal, then as soon as the others took thier last bite, she was waiting to take thier plates. Then wanted to know if we wanted dessert. I still had half my meal left, and was actively eating. So i asked for a dessert menu to buy some time. Then she came bk, and I said: "No dessert thanks, everyone is full."
She then brought the bill and the machine to pay. I was still putting my last forkful in my mouth, and asked: "Are you closing soon?" She said: "No 8 pm (this was at 3:30)." I looked around and nobody was waiting to be seated. Made me feel a little off.
