Portion sizes are abysmally small
We stopped by here after having a great dinner at the Quidi Vidi Brewery. The soft serve machine wasn’t working so we ordered some regular ice cream. It takes card only no cash which is fine as I don’t usually carry much cash on me nowadays.
I ordered 1 scoop of the Peanut Butter Pretzel and my wife ordered the Mint Chocolate Chip. We took several pictures of the area with the colourful boat houses, boats and beautiful natural scenery. The ice cream was refreshing and just what you needed on a hot day! It was a great way to end our last night in St John’s before flying home the next morning!
Parking: There is very limited parking in this beautiful place. You will likely have to park on side streets. There is a parking lot but it has limited number of spaces so it will likely be full. Quidi Vidi is an easy 45 minute walk from downtown St John’s. We walked there first time and drove there the second time. We would recommend walking if that’s an option, dinner at the brewery and dessert here.

Google says it’s open but it’s not :(
The hard ice cream at this place is as per usual, but the soft serve has a very watery and thin consistency, not at all the usual creamy taste and texture you're expecting. Also a weird naming choice for their 'plantation' sundae....
Soft serve was super small, definitely not worth $5. Very small.
Got a scoop of strawberry and one of the gut-something sundaes. Hard ice cream tasted like Chapman's and the Sunday was just a cup of mediocre soft serve with a few toppings. I'd expect more for a $9 sundae. There are much better places to get ice cream in town.
Just had a scoop of their cookies and crème. Honestly the best ice cream I’ve had in a long time. And only like $3 for the scoop. Check this place out for sure
Location is beautiful. Prices are reasonable. Icecream was delicious. My only recommendation would be that for the floats - up the icecream to pop ration. Note icecream and less pop. Thanks!
