Excellent Tex-Mex food, with sufficient choice. Accessible. Friendly staff. Reservations recommended, especially on weekends. Good selection of beverages including non-alcoholic beer.

Our server was top notch, kept checking on us throughout the meal. Our meals were perfect, great portions. We had an appetizer platter to start , then my wife had the taco salad, and i had the laredo burrito..

Quintanas and Arribas are a Wonderful Restaurant indeed; their food is beyond Comprehension of Optimal Exquisitely; Service is outstanding, the staff ranging from Employee to Employer are absolutely amazing and Professionalism is at it's Finest; I highly recommend this Restaurant to anyone; God Bless 🙏
Quintana's is the best Tex-Mex food in St John's. The difficulty with many restaurants in StJ has been the limitation to whatever is available in local markets. Q's has triumphed over this by adapting their offerings to Atlantic Canada - great use is made of local seafood. The Platas offer combinations of different foods, and can be juggled to meet appetites of the moment. (Eg, the Mexican Flag enchilada plate of green, white, and red salsa was easily modified to two green and a white, what I afterwards recognized as a Nigerian Flag). Service is excellent, attentive. Over the last several years, the on tap beverage range has expanded considerably, and last evening I found myself actually appreciating Corona, on tap. Our Guy's Group goes there regularly, and is never disappointed. We usually close the place, but have never been hinted at by staff with mops. Lunch menu is pretty much the same as the dinner menu, with smaller portions. I recommend the Flautas and the Enchiladas; I'm not a fan of Burritos, but friends scarfed them up. Churros and Flan to finish. Dos cervezas, por favor!
Quintanas De La Plaza offers a pleasant dining experience with its friendly and attentive service. The staff ensures that you feel welcome and well taken care of throughout your meal. The restaurant serves decent Mexican food, with a variety of traditional dishes that are flavorful and satisfying. However, the prices are on the higher side for what is offered, which might be a consideration for some. Overall, it's a good spot for those looking to enjoy Mexican cuisine with excellent service, though it might be a bit pricey for the value.

The location is great to hit up before an arts and culture centre event. It is in a bit of a need for an update. I thoroughly enjoy their sugar free salsa that you can also purchase from Costco.

Had the absolute best service by a server named Tom. It was late and we had been to several places that turned us away as they were closing within the hour. Tom greeted us at the door and continued with his charm and fabulous service throughout our whole experience. Never once felt rushed even though it did close. Cannot recommend enough, will definitely be back!
We have had only take out from there before and had the same dish all the time. The waitress was very helpful in picking out something different and it was delicious. Definitely come back again.
Always a pleasure to dine at Quintana's. Food is as authentic Tex-Mex as you can get, this far east on the edge of the Other Ocean. I always enjoy the Chicken Flautas, friends opted for the Burritos they had been craving. First time ever to have Corona on draft! Q's has the official Imprimatur of the Polish Husband's Club !

Absolutely horrible experience! No manager on when we were there because it's a long weekend. The waitress was kind and offered us a free dessert as compensation. We ate less than half our meal and left. We had poquitos with chicken as a start, and there was absolutely no flavor to it at all. I doubt there was even salt or pepper on it. The nachos and salsa they brought out as a complimentary starter was tasteless and the chips were stale. When we got our main course my husband ordered a burrito with fries and I ordered the Mexican Flag dish with side trio. We were told to be careful as the plates were hot, and they were, as they had just come out of the oven, but the food was cold in the center, and again there was absolutely no flavor whatsoever except for the dusting of some sort of seasoning that was sprinkled over the top. The rice was gummy, and the beans look like they came from a can and probably had the most flavor of anything on the plate. The waitress was kind and offered us a free dessert as compensation. Definitely won't be going back there.
Great food, great service. Adam is top notch and all the staff are accommodating and friendly. I recommend the taco salad, t.m.t's, and the chicken flautas. Well, I have not had anything here that I didn't like to be honest. People think Mexican and they think spicy. There are plenty of non spicy options! My only complaint is they no longer have the caramel flan on the menu :( definitely recommend this restaurant, it's cozy, comfortable and always homemade good food. It's worth the price!
