Just overall 1 star, food tasted like it was cooked from frozen, and was reheating so many times it lost all flavour. Service was really bad as they didn’t listen to my order and gave me whatever they wanted and charged me $16 for two chicken balls, a small serving of fried rice and the saddest greens I ever seen with the most artificial sweet sauce

Always loved rice bowl when visiting St.johns.. Looking forward to it today. Got there a little early 11:30. food was not fresh, wasn't much to choose from, had a meal of 4items an egg roll and a tea, it came up to about 21$, wasnt worth it. So disappointed . Perhaps it was a bad day, but I will not be going back.☹️

I suggest you talk to one of your female employees who was in the bathroom stall at Avalon mall today July 7th at 1.20pm, who clearly did her business and left the bathroom without washing her hands. Not only is this a health violation but to blatantly walk around with a Rice Bowl uniform on while doing it? Yuck.

Beware anyone who eats here that they clearly don't value sanitation.

Although there are better places, for a spot in the Avalon mall it is fine. The prices are a bit steep but you do get a fairly decent sized plate. Not bad.

This is hands down the absolute worst Chinese food I've ever had. I've tried it 3 times, and each time was somehow worse than the last. Today I ordered a full order of fried rice and a fountain pop. The total was $19.18. that's absolute robbery. The rice was so bad I had to throw it out. The rice was hard and not fully cooked, and there were 3 little tiny pieces of chicken in the whole full sized rice portion.Do yourself a favor and do not eat here, you WILL regret it.

I usually love this place and it was my favourite place to eat. Yesterday I went to get some supper for take out and first of all they charged me wrong. My meal is usually $14.94 with tax and they charged me $16.09. i barley got any food in my take out box. I am not impressed.

The food was way under cooked, the cherry sauce looks like blood, the sweet and sour ribs look like shrimp. The service was awful, when I was asking what the difference was for the meals the worker sighed and rolled his eyes at me. The chicken balls were not chicken balls, you have to pay for chopsticks if you want them. All in all it was the worst food experience of my life.

This is probably the worst Chinese food I've had in my entire life. I used to love going to mall and having Rice Bowl but at some point over the last few years the quality has been lost. The noodles have a strange spice almost like curry on them, the chicken is chewy with hard chunks that are inedible, the beef is almost slimey in texture and the egg rolls taste like nothing. The sweet and sour pork is decent but they give you tiny strips of pork with big chunks of onion. Don't waste your money

Chicken balls are tiny, Rice is dark. I had chicken balls and rice and a drink. $18.00. I was shocked. Food was edible at best. Spend your money elsewhere, this is a poor excuse for Chinese Food

Definitely the worst food I have ever eaten. The quantity is more than enough for 1 or 2 people and even though the veggies were fresh and crisp there was an unusual taste to the sauce. It is loaded with sugar that didn't add to the taste. I was looking for something on the healthy side...I would NOT recommend this place. Or... perhaps ask for a taste first. The next cook might be better.

when I go to the avalon mall, i always know where i’m stopping for a meal. This place never disappoints, the food is always fresh and hot, it is delicious and the staff and always super friendly. I really recommend the wonton soup, my favourite.
