With so many other establishments in the area selling coffee and baked goods, the Second Cup is a hidden gem for some good coffee if you haven't been.
Their iced coffees and smoothies are both very delicious and refreshing. The oat flax smoothie is hands down one of the best I have had from a coffee shop in the city. The only thing I disliked was that that they have not made the transition to more eco-friendly wares like paper straws. They also still use plastic cutlery which seems a bit dated - maybe to save on some cost? My rating would be higher had it not been for those drawbacks. Obviously for some, this won't matter, and it in no way affects my opinion on their food and beverage offerings as they are very good. I normally try to do without a straw if I can avoid it; however, if you do prefer to avoid plastic, make sure to bring your reusables!
The service was also very good the last time I visited. It was early in the morning during the breakfast rush, and the barista had prepared me a smoothie, iced coffee, breakfast sandwich, and two cookies - all roughly under five minutes on their own and with a big smile no less. I highly value service and it easily stands out, which is very important to me.
Great coffee as usual. Fast friendly service
Always great coffees, love the matcha there and the ice cream is great also
Great service, food and drink. Highly recommended.
Servers go above and beyond.
I ordered a mochaccino and was very disappointed because they were serving their drinks in takeaway cups. They have so many images of coffee cups and latte art. I think the staff were just lazy and didn’t want to wash cups cause all of the customers had takeaway cups. Very disappointed. Won’t be coming back, rather go to the battery cafe.
The best place with great ambient, greetings with warm welcome ! Best place to spend time !❤️

I went through the drive through today, july 2nd, 5:10pm. I waited almost 5 minutes at the window to be greates and left, because I thought they were closed. However, as I was driving away, I could see the young woman sitting I'm the windown, playing on her phone.
I even tried to call their listed number, and it says the call cannot be completed. Not sure what's going on at this location, I've tried to brush off the last several interactions as new staff, but it's clear there's a big problem at this location and I've chosen to spend my money elsewhere going forward.

If your store is closed why not update your hours so customers are aware !!!
The breakfast falafel was a perfect brunch, as was the cinnamon latte. Service was exceptionally fast. I went home with a bag of Holiday Blend Medium Roast too. It was all good.

A small hidden gem in this city tucked away in a quiet parking lot. Fantastic coffee, tea, and food. Free WiFi available. Quiet location. I particularly like that they don't really play music here over stereo systems & if they do they don't blast it, which is great for those who have sensory isssues.May look closed from the outside but don't let the cooling window curtains fool you. It has a comfortable and homey atmosphere, comfortable seating, and amazing staff. Sometimes staff may be bored but I get that having worked retail where customers are not always coming at all times.Drive through is still broken sadly (come on corporate it's been almost a year now!). They have had a rough time with things breaking & not getting prompt repair. Maybe due to no local franchises owner of the establishment (re lockout a few years ago, I think owned by corporate again). I don't hold this against the staff though, as I'm sure they are just as frustrated (cough, espresso machine breakdown & drive through broken). I've seen way worse cafes & this isn't going to be your hippy modern posh cafe, but this is my homey escape from the busy world for me & that is why I keep coming back.Recommend trying the chocolate dipped oatcakes and their mocachino!
Kid-friendliness: Little bit of everything. My 5 year old never has an issue getting something to eat & drink here. He loves sitting by the big windows and watching the cars drive by.
Parking: Huge open parking lot. Never have any issue getting parking.
Wheelchair accessibility: Dedicated parking spots right in front of the building with sloped curb access in front of the parking locations.

Quick & friendly service. I ordered 2 white hot chocolates and they were only warm. A little disappointing.
