Visiting St.John’s from Toronto. We hadn’t had enough luck finding a good proper cocktail bar until we were recommended Sláinte by a local! The drink was good, amazing vibe, and our bartender Andrew was super attentive and chatty! The best cocktail bar experience we had in St.John’s!

Can I give the service more stars? We ended up here a little hungry past dining hours and the staff went out of their way to get us some popcorn and candied nuts at no charge because their menu is not yet open at those hours. They're personable and the drinks and view are out of this world. We are out in Paradise so never seem to make it in time for the live music. Hope to catch some soon!

The food was fabulous, the service from Andrew and the girls on the bar was fantastic! The scallops were to die for! And there was some great jazz pros on stage! 10/10, will be back soon! Try the Malfy gin!

Incredible stuff. We were served by Andrew, who seemed to also be the head bartender? He mentioned that the restaurant had recently transitioned from a small plates menu to mains, and that the cocktail menu was also new. I gotta say, how lucky we were to come at this time! The chorizo cream sauce pasta was the best pasta I've had in my entire life. Brisket tacos were moist and came with crisp salsa and a lovely coleslaw. Maple whisky cocktail came with hickory smoke, transcendent experience!

This is a lovely cocktail bar with a beautiful view overlooking St. John’s harbour. I always find the staff very attentive and the cocktails delicious! We have visited a few times and there has been no live music.. I would love to visit again sometime when there is someone playing the piano! Overall, very relaxing and charming vibes, I always enjoy our time there!

Love this place! Incredibly delicious food and cocktails with a bit of Instagram worthy flair. But most important of all is the intimate live music which tends to attract a more attentive audience than other bars in town. Think piano bar… jazz, folk, contemporary, indie, blues, and local songwriters, depending on the night.
