Being in St John’s, I looked up the best sushi places and unfortunately I was really disappointed by my recent experience at Sushi Island. I ordered a takeout order for pick up- which may have been part of it. But the sushi itself was not nearly as tender or tasty as I was expecting, the edamame were almost brown in colour and did not taste fresh. The people on site were lovely and clearly it’s a well liked and popular place. Undecided whether I’d try it again.

The all-you-can-eat sushi is a good idea because once you get started you want to order more! Everything we had there was delicious. Especially recommend the banana tempura for dessert :)

What a great spot! The food was excellent, the wait staff were great. I loved the tablet based menu at the table, and the delivery robots are awesome! I had the all you can eat option. Great deal I was stuffed when i left. Recommended.
Just had the Japanese style codfish and it was well beyond my expectations. It was excellent.

We always have such a positive experience here, thanks to the delicious food and the absolutely amazing staff! The wall art is so cool and the cat robots are so fun and cute. Absolutely recommend the golden crab rolls
