Food was great and very clean and tidy restaurant. Staff was very friendly. The environment is a little bland and plain, but food is top notch, so not a big deal to most. Our first bit of food came out fast and there's was a 20 min wait for the rest of the food to come out. So half the table was done eating by the time the other half got theirs. But the employees apologized and the food was still great. 3.9/5 we will be back.

I was very sad my tempura shrimp were not deveined. I know it’s preference, but I’m sure most prefer it taken out, yuck, but I love this place, but I had to throw it away, I waited several weeks for some juicy shrimp 🍤 5 for all but 1 for the food that night. It was take out

Great food and service! We come to town once a month and this is usually where we stop for lunch.
They offer Soy paper vs Seaweed for those who don’t enjoy it, though I would love to see more non-seafood options (yes I know it’s sushi). The best part is your food gets delivered by a little train system from the kitchen, it just rolls up with your food.
The staff is always friendly and kind. Highly recommend if you’re on the lookout!
Parking: It’s in a strip mall so there’s lots of parking.

This place used to be are go to. At least once a week. But the last 3 times we have came in / ordered take out there was poop in are rolls. This has me not coming again. And now my gf who loves sushi won’t eat it again.

Sushi Island on Kenmount Road is my go to dinner restaurant in Newfoundland. The staff is wonderfully friendly and despite being busy, take the time for genuine customer service. I don’t eat raw fish or raw food but they have an exquisite selection of cooked options like salmon teriyaki and green dragon roll (double yum). The food has never disappointed me and they address any concerns with executive attention.

They say they close at 10, Don’t accept customers to dine in from 9:30! But we went there tonight at 9:16 and they didn’t let us eat in and told us we can only order for take out! This is absolutely not acceptable! They start not accepting customers to dine in from 9pm! So change the working hour to 9pm and respect your customers! Very rude server!

I haven't had sushi in years this is the first place I've been to and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered the pick 7 combo (brought a bunch home) but so so so good my gf got veggy rice with shrimp and some sushi rolls also very good. The little trains are cool too
