The Bigs Ultimate Sports Grill

The only thing keeping this place from being a complete disappointment was the service — the staff were friendly and attentive, and that’s the best I can say about our visit. Unfortunately, everything else fell flat.

I ordered the flatbread pepperoni pizza, and my girlfriend had the chicken bites with a side of kettle chips. The pizza was borderline frozen-oven quality — maybe slightly below. The crust was dry and the toppings felt like an afterthought. Nothing about it felt fresh or well-made.

The chicken bites were essentially a breaded chicken breast chopped into chunks and deep fried. They had no real flavor and were served — oddly — on a bed of tortilla chips, which didn’t make any sense and didn’t add anything to the dish. As for the kettle chips, we paid $10 for them and couldn’t eat most of them. They were barely cooked — squishy, greasy, and wet in the middle. Tasted like they threw too many in the fryer at once and didn’t bother checking them. Absolutely disgusting.

To top it off, we went during Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals — a huge game — and only two TVs were playing it. The rest were showing a Yankees vs. Royals baseball game that nobody was watching, and they never changed the channels. The audio was also way too loud, drowning out conversation and making the atmosphere unpleasant. And to make things worse, the place reeked of cigarette smoke.

This just isn’t it. You can go almost anywhere else in town and get better food, a better game-day setup, and a cleaner, more comfortable atmosphere. Honestly, even The Rec Room in Avalon Mall offers a much better viewing experience. The bar is pretty low here — literally and figuratively.

I wouldn’t recommend The Bigs.

Went here as always got my free soda and went to machine as I always do cause if I don't win I order sweet potato fries if I do win I order special of day today wing night . Place was empty . I sat at table on phone handling business no staff came to offer me a menu at all instead I was told to order something get on machine or get out I sat for only 25 mins in the booth. I have been doing this once a month for a year same routine. I didn't even cash in ticket or anything I can't believe it the manager walked away and argued she shouldn't have to come offer me a menu when I sat in booth cause I'm not a customer . Excuse me I invited friends and everything to wing night showed her pics of me winning nothing just told I'm not a customer . I don't know where bigs owner employees his staff but this isn't how I'm useually treated normally people tell me hey would u like a menu for food and I say yes absoutely. I live walking distance to bigs so I frequent. But this has made me ask all my friends to bocought.

Service was great and food was tasty

I went to the Bigs on June 3rd 2025 to take my girlfriend out for a date night. We arrived at the bigs and was welcomed by staff and sat down. Only after looking at the menu for 13 seconds we were asked to order our food and we asked for a few more minutes as I needed some more time to familiarize myself with the menu. About 25 minutes later she checked back to take our order. -might I add this was about 4:50PM and the only other people in the store were 3 tables next to us with 2 people at a table. I ordered the pulled pork BBQ sandwich and my girlfriend had the 2 piece fish and chips. We got our food in a decently good time and when I ate my food it was horrible, fries were undercooked and the sandwich was bland, and overpowered me with BBQ sauce and what I can assume is Tex mex. Our waiter never checked on us to see how our service was and when it was time to get the bill, she didn’t ask why my food was barely touched. She acted like she wanted us gone ASAP so she could clock out or something or other. The only comment she made was that other people come in with “Jean jackets” and that was all. Won’t be here again any time soon!

They did not have enough staff. The waitress was doing her best. It took too long to receive our food. When she brought out the appetizers, she forgot mine. I had to flag someone down to tell them. The wings were overcooked and dry and I sent them back. The main course was ok.

My food was cold and very over priced. We asked for the spinach dip to come with the main meals and it was brought out before. I sent it back. When it came back with out meals it was dried up because it was left under the heat lamps. But the rest of the food was icy cold.

Food and service were great but it was freezing there. Staff were unable to fix it. Unfortunate. Will go back but not until Spring.

Didn't receive my reservation through opentable, abysmal service, missed birthday at table.

Best wing BOGO deal in town, lots of TVs to watch sports. Servers are always friendly and the beer is always cold.

I was in search of a hot sauce that a friend enjoys at your spot. She’s a BIG FAN of yall & that the hot sauce.

I called late in the evening & Chantelle was so helpful. I wanted to say THANK YOU, I very much appreciate the time she took to answer all my questions as I search of this hot sauce my friend loves but doesn’t know the name lol.

im sure the food was great but never had a chance to order. Horrible service only got served once in the beginning and that was just our two drinks obviously they must have bad training and management can't blame it all on the poor young employee . Waited almost an hour before she came back and talked to us but by then kitchen was closed and we couldn't order anything. The place has gone down hill avoid it if you can Boston pizza is just as good with twice the better service.

Well coming from the prairies I was told this is a great place to eat. Ordered take out and 116 bucks later I was so disappointed and sick after. One burger the shoot out- had literally no flavor the other was meh fries were the only okay part and the piece of cake I got was definitely not worth the hype.... my 6 year old makes better cake from a box.
