Just had breakfast at Little Sparo in John’s—absolutely fantastic! The breakfast hash was delicious, and the little carrots in it were amazing. Outstanding 5-star service from Fabio Benini, the General Manager. Highly recommend!

I have never written a review for a restaurant before in my life but had to take the time to comment on The Little Sparo. 10/10 experience, delicious food, and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. The Little Sparo is probably the number one restaurant I would recommend to anybody from now on

Possibly my new favorite brunch spot. The light-filled room offers a spectacular harbour view, and the menu, while not huge, had an option for everyone. I went with roasted root vegetables (delicious), but could have gone with any of the sweet and savory options. Service was attentive but not intrusive.

The service at this restaurant was excellent—our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel well taken care of. Initially, my partner and I were seated at a table that felt awkwardly distant, and the antithesis of date night. However, the staff were very accommodating when we asked to switch tables and the next one was much better. The overall ambience of the restaurant was lovely, the windows extend up into the ceiling so you can see birds flying overhead, and it had a nice view of the harbour.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the rest of the experience. For a place with such a good reputation (and prices to match), we expected much more. I ordered the beet risotto, which was bland and lacked any real textural appeal, while my partner’s bolognese was dry, under-sauced, and more notably, without much cheese.
Despite the wonderful service and setting, the lackluster food was a major letdown. It felt disappointing to dress up, pay restaurant prices, and leave wishing we’d just stayed home and cooked something more interesting ourselves. While the staff and atmosphere were great, I wouldn’t return based on the food alone.

Worst margarita pizza I ever had... was hoping to be very authentic Italian... it was a sloppy tasteless mess.
My wife's soup was great and business associate had a burger which seemed ok.

Service was average, new hire so we were patient with her inexperience. She didn't know how to deal with a food complaint so being Canadian we didn't make much of a deal about.

Went on a little date night. The overall experience was great. Are server (nameless) did a great job. I was stuck between a few things. She helped me pick through it and made a great recommendation. Will be back some more great food

The meal was outstanding. Fresh and homemade pasta. The meatballs sauce is not spaghetti but more braised shortrib sauce and had to have bread to sop it up. The homemade ricotta tasty. Came back for breakfast every morning while we stayed at the hotel. Best breakfast at a Hilton ever.

So disappointed with the evening’s experience. We three ladies were to celebrate one of our birthdays after not seeing each other for months. Our server told us five times during our 6:00 sitting that our table was reserved for 8:00 and that we could be sat at the bar once they arrived. We were rushed through our meal (people even attempting to take an appetizer that was still being eaten) and at 7:55 were told the new reservation had arrived and were waiting. We had a reservation as well and should not have been rushed. The restaurant lost out out on a bill that could have easily been twice as much as we paid (we didn’t even feel welcome enough to have dessert at 7:30 as were told that the 8:00 reservation would be arriving). There were two empty tables next to us that could’ve been placed together to possibly accommodate the 8:00 (instead we were told we could move to the bar).

Great service over priced in my opinion.
