I came here to check out their Wednesday folk night and really enjoyed myself. I was solo, and everyone was so nice and welcoming. I was also super impressed with the bartender working on 10/30/24–I stepped outside to make a phone call, and when I got back, he had placed my drink behind the bar. He handed it back to me and said, “I know and trust everyone here, but I realize that you don’t.” So kind and classy. Highly recommend this spot!

Last there 13 years ago when we went to Newfoundland on our honeymoon. Only wish this time it hadn't been on our way to the airport as we really wanted to stay to hear the trad folk / electronica band. A dark den of musical iniquity and all the better for it. Don't ever change cos we'll be back...

Fun and down to earth dive bar
An excellent place to get bite or a drink in an old-fashioned atmosphere. I hade the fish and chips. I would definitely come back and recommend it to others. I will admit that it's been a long time since I had exceptional fish and chips. A lot of places have, unfortunately, lost their Newfoundland traditional flavors. This place is a refreshing place that reminds us what we love about Newfoundland.

I had a very good time for a night out at The Ship Pub. I had the good fortune to be able to see a Newfoundland music super star in Roger Howse. The venue is fantastic . The service is 5 star and prices are very reasonable. I want to make The Ship Pub a go to club.
