I’m not sure if there has been a change to the bacon, but the last two times I got a poutine it was pretty gross. It was gray the first time, and it tasted off, kind of like bologna, the second time. Seems like this location is trying to save a few bucks on food costs and it’s very noticeable. I was a regular but I thought about a poutine tonight and the thought of the bacon kind of turned my stomach… guess I won’t be back.
The quality of the food (at least at this location) has taken a nosedive over the past few months. I used to buy here once a week, but after the food I've been served this summer I am going to refrain for now.
I will probably give them another try in the new year to see if they've addressed the issue(s).
The fries taste different, I don't know if they are using a cheaper blend of fries or if the staff isn't preparing them properly....

I recently visited Ziggy Peelgoods Fries, and while the service was top-notch, the fries left much to be desired. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the experience pleasant at first. The fries were served piping hot, and they were impressively fresh. However, within about 5 minutes, they became a soggy mess, turning into one big greasy clump.
