“Myself and hubby went for a drive and ended up here for early supper yesterday… I had the best seafood chowder ever!!!! And I order chowder everywhere lol… and 1/2 Greek salad was delicious! Husband had chicken clubhouse and fries and was completely satisfied!! (His a big eater.. lol) We both had Quidi Vidi beers and the choice was amazing, servers and service was wonderful! We will be back and would recommend to others!!“

“Big Ben's is an iconic pub having it's beginnings from the 70's and 80's, with decades of history and stories extending to the present time. In recent years, Ben's has become a place where friends congregate to make crafts, play bingo, and perform music, while socializing over a cold beverage. The clientele come from wide demographic making it an eclectic place to interact. The new management has created an atmosphere where newbies quickly become friends, in the spirit of belonging and care! It is a pub with a lot of heart!“

“Sat on the patio since my dog was with us and substituted the beet salad as my side. Best meal during my entire vacation which included a handful of more exclusive establishments. “This place was great for getting the traditional NFLD Screeched In ceremony. We had the best time! Our bartender/master of ceremonies greeted us at the door because he had noticed us walk by a few times and made us feel comfortable right away. He was very easy to chat with and accommodated my friend who does not drink alcohol without any shame. The ceremony itself was very fun and without too many crazy bells and whistles. A local offered to film our Screeching In and joined us for conversation afterwords ,adding to our wonderful experience. “I've been going to Lottie's every time I've been to Newfoundland for the past 20 years. Nothing says 'I've arrived' on George Street like a White Russian in a plastic cup! Beyond friendly service, and everyone having a great time. This bar is most definitely a stand out, and worth it just to even chat with the bartenders (assuming it's not past 10 pm on Thu / Fri / Sat). A must-visit.“

“Ok where to start! We asked to do a group booking for our minor baseball team. This lovely establishment helped us with a pre order menu and booking, and then when we showed up they had a whole area reserved for not only our team, but families as well! The service was top notch and extraordinarily efficient for such a large group. Special thanks to Brenda for helping with the booking, Aidan and staff for the impeccable St. John’s welcome to this group from Alberta. Sorry I wish I had more names, everyone was so amazing.
