“What is it about this place? Is it the food? Is it the service? Is it the fact that we can sit and watch the chefs make our food to perfection in mere minutes and be served within 7-10 minutes. I can’t say. But as someone who’s been all around the country and had many small owned mom and pop breakfast shops, I can say with whole confidence this is at the top of my list now! Who would’ve In a small dinky town like Gordo we could’ve found such an amazing place to eat! Absolutely perfect and coming from Florida I will miss this place every day. I’ve been 2 times in 3 days and would say it was the best decision I’ve made! Would highly recommend and anyone who would say otherwise must’ve woken up in a bad mood already!”

“Wow!! Amazing savory flavors in the soups and entrees!! I highly recommend this cuisine. It is so tasty and my palette soaked in all the authentic flavors of the Thai and Japanese offerings. I ordered a range of food and was so satisfied with everything I ordered. Definitely going back again and again!”

“We stopped on our way through looking for baked goods, burritos or both. The owners were so nice and we found everything we wanted, lovely pastries, burritos and my favorite tamales! It was obvious they have a loyal customer base and I can see why!”

I've been real picky about coffee nowadays, and they made me an iced flat white exactly how I wanted it and were extremely accommodating! They were able to answer all my questions about the beans they use and everything. So happy I came in today, you guys really made my day! Thank you!! ☺️”

“I was here on Vacation. I was looking for pizza that was different than fast food. I found this gem on google. The atmosphere was charming. The server Josh was attentive and wonderful. The pizza was the best pizza I ever has. My picky eater was even raving on how good it was. I was impressed. Thank you.”

“This Alamogordo, NM location made our dining out a great experience. Many food services exist in this town (we've lived here since '94) however, the food quality, prompt service (thanks to Chelsea S. and Holly) and dining atmosphere was great. We tried the soup, salad and pizza. Still love the cheese sticks/Marinara sauce, fresh baked bread. You have to dip that in the olive oil and roasted garlic. Looking forward to a return trip. You will not find it priced like our fast-food places. Never put Carino's in that category. Keep up the good work.”

“Best Bugers and Chicken sandwiches in the World! The burgers taste like true diner style. Blake's is the only great thing about Alamogordo. Living in Ruidoso, there's only a couple of places that have ok"ish" burgers. You definitely won't regret eating here.”

“First time there, worth the wait in line. Big portions, tender, smokey, spicy, yummy goodness. LOVED IT. Opens at noon on Fridays. Get there early before they run out of food. Google location shows 10th street but it's on 9th between Florida and Alaska. Looking forward to next week already.”

“This place is absolutely amazing! The attention to detail of the interior design was actually quite shocking for a small town pizza place! Pepperoni green chile pizza was great! Italian sub was a little soggy in the best way! Cheesy fries were as expected - delicious! This is a 5/5!”

“I used to be vegan, but Garden Isle Grill made me love eating meat again! I tried the bento box, and it was packed with delicious, well-cooked meat that totally won me over. The apple pie egg roll was a perfect crispy dessert, too. The food is fresh, the portions are generous, and the mix of Hawaiian and Oriental flavors is spot on. If you’re nearby, it’s a must-try!”

“C'mon, who doesn't like A&W?? Burgers made fresh, their juicy, flavorful, hot, not sitting in a heat tray, fries are crispy and salty the way God intended, cheese curds always on point. It's been well over 15-20 years since I had this, and it brought back some joyfully chubby youngster memories. Service was friendly, and I waited roughly 4 minutes, which I'm good with for fresh fast food burgers.”

“Terrific oriental buffet. Price is very reasonable. Choices are the best around. Take out or dine in, either way is great. Low service Mark because they only have one lady doing most of the service and checkout. She works hard.

“Kim did a great job. I've never seen a restaurant quite this busy on a Tuesday, including 3 different parties celebrating birthdays, somehow. One of our party decided to have his cake first (yes, an adult, I promise) and various other slightly unusual requests. Everything came out exactly as ordered, the first time, with zero issues. We're from out of town, but we'll definitely be requesting her as our server our next time around.”

“Get the wonton soup. Pork wontons, large, handmade. In a beef broth. Take it home, you will not be able to eat it there at a table. It is the temperature of molten lava, but just right when you get home. $6.50 ”
