“We found this place on a Wednesday night and it was an incredible experience. The bartender, drinks, and ambience were AMAZING. The decor is on point and adds to the relaxed and elegant vibe. But the drinks, WOW! The drinks at Gather was one of the best cocktails we've had in awhile. Go to this gem, you won't regret it.“

“I’m writing this review specifically for the Spanish wine tasting dinner.

It was $120/person and included four courses, each with a paired wine. Chef Xavi was amazing. It was great company and fantastic food.

I rated the atmosphere a 4/5 because I do not enjoy being outside with the smoke from the grill blowing on me. Once home my hair and body reeked of smoke. It was also very windy and warm and the dinner took place outside.“

VARA Winery & Distillery Winery • $$$
315 Alameda Blvd NE, Albuquerque

“I'm in love with VARA's tasting room. The wines are, according to my dinner partner, amazing. I can personally speak to the noche negra rum, which was fantabulous. VARA has a small menu of creative dishes that looked amazing. I'm a total prima donna with my carnivore diet, but the chef whipped out some off-menu meat-only options - chorizo links... Scrumptious enough I ordered another plate. Everything on the table looked amazing from the papas to the salad.

Bottom line, awesome staff, great vibe, and fun food. I also had an opportunity to hang out with New Mexico United FC, who VARA sponsors. (Cool points with my sons)“
