“Was visiting from NYC and found this spot on Google. I have worked in restaurants for years and this is some of the best food and service I’ve ever had. Bernadette took amazing care of our party!”

“Our waitress was working her tail off and still stayed super sweet and patient. The food didn’t disappoint. It was just different than what I’m used to, being from Arkansas! Definitely will be back!”

“Only bad thing was the wait but they were auper slammed I ordered the birria tacos an they had a great taste and were nice an hot off the grill. One taco didnt have much meat but besides that they were fire! I would highly recommend”

“Lovely little downtown bar vibe and good looking food and beer.

Unfortunately, their patio is closed for some reason (despite it being an unseasonably beautiful December day), and I can confirm the other review from a few years ago that they couldn't accommodate us with a small dog.

The staff were friendly and recommended Adobe Rose and a few other establishments in town with patios, but it's a shame the Wellhead doesn't (or can't?) open their seemingly nice covered and furnished patio for travelers with dogs.”

“Went to Walmart for last minute things & decided to get subway. This particular day was right before Christmas and there was only one woman working and from the moment I walked into Walmart and glanced into subway she had a line almost to the door so I decided to get my items and then go to subway. 20 minutes later she was done with that massive line! She greeted me and helped me understand the difference between toasted and warmed, which I’ve always been too scared to ask but she made me feel very comfortable and welcome. I want to say her name was Aly? Always great food and amazing service!!”

“Almost a cross between a sit down restaurant and fast food. The place was very casual and friendly. The food was OK. It reminded me more of new Mexican food rather than Tex Mex. A little more bland tasting. Prices ok. The hot sauce and chips costs extra, but only 1.50. The hot sauce wasn't special. Tasted like spicy tomato sauce. Again, NewMex flavor.”

“I've had there mendoza, tamales, Chile con chicharones, asado, biriani and other burritos. They are the best in town. My grandson has eaten the bean burritos and he says they're the best in town. Just go by and a burrito, or a plate of any food item you will not be disappointed.”

“We did not get to experience the wide variety of food they had to off, but we did get two very delicious drinks. both signature creation, the salted caramel iced and the hatch honey one. but were very great smooth and not bitter at all. the salted caramel was flavor without feeling like drinking a cup of sugar.
The craft and quality is seen in the drinks, that being said be patient with the staff as quality takes time.
A very beautiful atmosphere with a lounge area and tables.”

She took full accountability for the team when an order was messed up and fixed it so fast! not to mention she is effortlessly hilarious! we were still laughing after driving off just cause she is extremely personable and knows how to talk to people! could definitely see her as a manager one day with all the skills she has! keep her close! company’s money maker for sure!! will be back!”

“I had driven to Guy Chevrolet to deliver a Chevrolet Pickup 1500 & receive an expensive GMC Pickup 2500 Sierra Denali to drive back to the Abilene TX Chevrolet/GMC/Buick dealership. I asked about a good place to eat. A lady at Guy recommended this restaurant. I was glad she told me about this place to eat outstanding Mexican cuisine. This mom & pop has served for 50 yrs. Patti was outstanding and pleasant to visit with! When driving through Artesia, I encourage everyone to try this restaurant that takes time to prepare your food from scratch.”
