Heart of the Desert Pistachios & Wine

Started with a free wine tasting of some good wines with a very friendly server.
We followed the wine tasting with the tour. Not only was the tour free, Dallas was a wonderful guide with lots of information about the pistachio harvesting and processing operation.

Overrated, just go to Walmart. $50 a bag and I fell for it 🤣🤣🤣. Don't believe the hype! Someone has to tell the truth.

Last Friday we visited this lovely local pistachio farm because my son needed to write a report for his history class. We all absolutely loved the FREE tour that included all of the processing information in view of the equipment. The fact that this is been such a long-standing pistachio farm in Alamogordo is very impressive and we hope it continues on for a long time. In particular a shout out to Lisa, Tara, and Sabrina for their warmth and help. We really enjoyed the fun wine, tasting room, all the different varieties of pistachio flavors and the chocolate! I probably spent more money than I should have but the staff present that day really made it a fun time for all of us. I highly recommend this farm to every traveler and going on the tour with Lisa is worth coordinating your schedule for!

I stopped here, and the hostess, Sabrina, was very hospitable, and she recommended various great items, including a red sweet wine 'Viva La Roja' that I bought.

We had lots of fun looking around, buying pistachios, eating ice cream, talking with the extremely kind and gentle staff. I was surprised to also find beautiful jewelry, sunglasses, and discover even more types of flavored pistachios (green/red chili, red chili with lime). And they let you sample whatever you want!

Lovely place! Very friendly staff, lots of samples, beautiful space, and delicious pistachio products and wine.

Nice location for weddings and to buy pistachios. Friendly staff.

Great Stop! We did the wine tasting. All the reds are good. White is not my jam, however they were not as dry as expected. Very smooth wine. We bought a few bottles, couple bottles of local beer. Definitely try this wine. It’s all smooth, none of those tart tannins.

Double card charges. You enter your PIN code, pick up your purchase and drive on. And on the way you find out that the store has charged you twice. Be careful and pay in cash

What a gem of a place! I have enjoyed their scrumptious products as gifts, but this is the first time I've ever visited. Sabrina was a doll and very helpful in the gift store. Lisa greeted us and showed us around the beautiful outdoor venue. Looking forward to picking up gifts for family here as the prices were really reasonable!

Next time we will.plan to stay longer, attend a tour and enjoy the patio. The staff is friendly and informative. The prices are reasonable and the product is delicious.

I’ve stopped at this location quite a few tines now. Each and every time I’ve stopped the customer service has been incredible. You are greeted immediately by the friendly staff, offered samples in all stations, & welcomed. Everything they offer tasted amazing. I want to acknowledge a few staff by name: Melissa, Sabrina, & Lisa, & everyone my family and I interacted with. Thank you all for always having an amazing experience.

Their infused olive oils are amazing and they're so patient about letting you sample things.
