We live in Tulie and stop here often for wine, pistachios and local pecans. We also get our olive oil here. The infused oils are fantastic for cooking!
The staff are friendly and helpful. The wine is really good with a nice selection. Our favorite is the pistachio rosé.
The patio is a beautiful space to relax with a glass of their wine or some of the ice cream they offer.

Shout out to Jessica for opening the door early while we were passing by on a 700 mi trip. Her and Maria were very helpful to my kids and us that's why we keep on passing by for over 20 years thanks.

Always friendly and always a good time. The wines are definitely the highlight! We love to stop here for provisions and wine on our way to the mountains or El Paso.
Update 2024: dog friendly patio!

I really enjoyed my visits to Heart of the Desert Pistachios & Wine. It's a fun gift shop with tons of selections of goodies and trinkets. They let you taste almost anything before you buy! We loved their pistachio ice cream and the outside sitting area in the back with the Pistachio tree groves. I bought flavored oil as a gift and some wine for myself. ;) We all had a really nice and fun time! Check them out if you're nearby or heck even if you're not!

What a wonderful experience! If you're a wine lover, oil and vinegar lover, chocolate lover or just crazy about pistachios, this is your spot!

I started with the wine tasting and worked my way up front. The free wine tasting allows you to try all 12 of their award winning wines. They sell the wine by the glass, bottle and case. During my visit, the patio was closed for a special event.

In the front there's chocolate, pistachios and oil and vinegar to try. And please try something. There's also very cute knick knacks throughout the store as well.

Overall, a memorable experience and definitely on my list of favorite wine shops.

Enjoyed a wonderful tour with Lacie. Enjoyed learning about the history of this family owned business celebrating its 50th anniversary.

What a gem! We were visiting the area and had to stop by for pistachio ice cream and wine tastings. We couldn’t believe the wine tastings are free, as we typically pay $20-30 for these. The wines were amazing. We went home with bottles of the Pistachio Rose and the Cabernet Sauvignon, both incredible, and priced well below market.
We brought our teens who had ice cream, and we all listened to live music on the patio. What more could you want?

We had a wonderful experience here while visiting Alamogordo. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable of their food and wine offerings. The wine was really good, and the patio area was perfect to relax with our tweens and dog. One staff member, Pres, even delighted us with interesting facts about the pistachio plants and farming process, as well as local history. We loved our time there and would highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.

Loved Loved Loved the Pistachio wine. Bought 2 bottles to take home and enjoy! Should have bought several more! Wisconsin doesn’t allow to have wine sent to me. Boo! We also highly recommend the pistachio coffee. It’s amazing, some of the best coffee we have ever had. I have 3 bags on order as I’m typing this :) We also purchased the Vanilla Praline Pistachios. Yum!!! Those did not make it back home, we thoroughly enjoyed them on our roadtrip. We have yet to try the chili mix but I have no doubts, we know it’s going to be amazing!! Also a plus… they sell cheese from our local state! I love that! I mean Wisconsin makes some pretty good cheese ? If you are in the area you really need to stop here! They have so much to choose from. I’m happy they have an online shop.
