MUCH nicer and quieter than their competition right down the road. AND they had what I was looking for.... Shelled, unflavored and unsalted pistachios. Not only that, they had a pinion flavored DECAF coffee! Since they weren't as packed with customers as the other place, service was quick and friendly.
Looking to try something out of the box but tasty.. pistachio wine at Heart of the Desert! I really wished they stayed open later because the ambiance was so relaxing, the wine flavorful and the service was welcoming! Tastings we're free, which was a nice surprise! This is a great roadside stop near white sands. Definitely try the oils and vinegars. Favorites were truffle sage, aged balsamic, HABANERO, and Sriracha. Good prices on these. The wines are perfectly fine. The Merlot is pretty sweet, not your typical Merlot more like a casual table wine. The cab is acceptable, more typical. The others are all sweet so I didn't even try them. Prices for the wine a bit high for what they are but I enjoy shopping local when traveling.
