Last Friday we visited this lovely local pistachio farm because my son needed to write a report for his history class. We all absolutely loved the FREE tour that included all of the processing information in view of the equipment. The fact that this is been such a long-standing pistachio farm in Alamogordo is very impressive and we hope it continues on for a long time. We had lots of fun looking around, buying pistachios, eating ice cream, talking with the extremely kind and gentle staff. I was surprised to also find beautiful jewelry, sunglasses, and discover even more types of flavored pistachios (green/red chili, red chili with lime). And they let you sample whatever you want!

We followed the wine tasting with the tour. Not only was the tour free, Dallas was a wonderful guide with lots of information about the pistachio harvesting and processing operation.
