They hype is real! the Birrieria pizza is 🔥 we got the pizza and 3 drinks for like 30 bucks. Pizza can easily feed 4 people

I recently visited Birrieria y Tacos de Alex Tijuana Style and was blown away by the authentic flavors and cozy atmosphere. The birria was rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, and the tacos were simply divine. The attention to detail and commitment to quality ingredients truly shine through in every dish. I highly recommend this gem to anyone craving an authentic taste of birria tacos in ABQ or NM. (went there yesterday, 10-11-25)

I hate giving negative reviews but I have to be honest. We try different locations and give different small businesses a try, each Tuesday. We don't live far from this one so decided to give it a try. I got 2 carne asada tacos and 2 chicken tacos, my husband got the birria tacos. They presented and smelled really good. I only ate one of my carne asada tacos and it tasted odd. It didn't taste like beef, but I still finished it. 20 minutes later I was extremely sick in the bathroom. I don't know if the meat was bad or what was going on, but it wasn't a good experience for me.
