I'm absolutely desolate that this bakery closed. I have no clue where to go in Albuquerque to find miraculous croissants like that at the Blue Door.

SF Bay Area pricing for a single croissant, without the French. My guess is because the rent is super high. Food cost for an operator to make 20 croissants is 12.25 including butter, and adjusting in for high food cost in Albuquerque.

Very small selection when we went. No crème brûlée donut which appears from reviews and social media to be a signature. Pastries decently made but average flavors. Especially for the high prices.

I stumbled upon this place while yelping for breakfast pastries. We've been to Sawmill a few times for lunch. It's a quaint little pastry shop all the way in the back of Sawmill. The prices were pretty steep, ranging from $4-5 for a croissant and & $7-8 bucks for danishes and other pastries. They also have jars of jelly and honeys for sale! We shared a Cream Brûlée donut, strawberry pastry and ham &cheese baked pastry puff not sure the name lol. Different types of goodies to try for a splurge.

A tad disappointed, not sure if it's the pastry I got but again disappointed. Spent close to $20 for 3 pastries, I was expecting a fresh golden crisp bite with flavors exploding from the blueberries and custard but didn't get any of that.

I went to sawmill market for lunch and this spot is a good dessert. They all look great and we tried the blueberry cheese pastry and was absolutely delicious. Give this a try

Aside from the crushing disappointment experienced when they weren't open the day before Xmas (Sawmill locked up...sob!), Blue Door quickly proved to be the go-to patisserie during my recent trip to Albuquerque. Highlights were the chocolate babka (actually...pretty much everything was a highlight!) and the epic cream cheese iced cruffin.

My friend and I shared the blueberry cream cheese brioche and the croque madame croissant tart and both were so good! I was a little thrown off that the croque madame tart was cold but it was still pretty tasty. I can't wait to try the other treats next time!

In all honesty, the flakiest, layeriest croissant I've ever had. Quality lamination. Can't wait to try some of their other goodies.

Pain au Chocolat is very flaky but good. Customer service was lack luster at best, it felt like the customer was not welcome and in fact a bother. Thus the 4 stars.

Butter Croissant: Their croissant has perfectly fluffy layers inside. The outside is a crisp but a little hard instead of flakey. Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding: It isn't overly sweet. It isn't too soggy like many bread puddings and even has some nice crispy bits on top. My biggest gripe is that there isn't enough chocolate! I thought there would be chocolate mixed inside the bread pudding, but it's only what you find on top.

Always disappointing! I keep going back because it all "looks" so good. But it tastes like overpriced, over sweet mediocre pastries.

Wow. The creme brulee donut was bar none the best donut I have ever had. The strawberry rhubarb Danish and apricot pistachio Danish were also fantastic.

Special pastries, a little expensive. I had the raspberry croisant, which was great. My wife had a donut that we did not care for. We heard good things about their almond croisant, but they did not have any that day. If we have a chance to be in the area, we may come by, but we won't come back just for that!

I just bought some of the best brioche I have ever had from these folks, and I can confidently say I will be buying it regularly now!! 10/10 do recommend, as they’re sweets are also INCREDIBLE.
