Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

Well...... I want to say something nice social say we got our drink fast and it was good. Elsewise the r5min wait to get seated topped with the Hour and a half waiting to get our food and still not getting it left use with less than satisfied feeling. We never ended up getting our food because we were upset and decided we had waited more than long enough.

Normally love the Cheddar's in our hometown. After a super meh dinner the night before, decided to play it safe and go to this Cheddar's. Unfortunately, while the server was wonderful, the dinners were each off in their own ways. The chicken pot pie was underfilled and underwhelming. The chicken tenders were barely cooked and the baked potato was hard and cool on the inside. The plates were burning hot (service at the bar booths was a bit slow, night before Thanksgiving, tons of people) so the food had been under the lamps for a bit. Oh well.

Service was excellent.. wish I got th waiters name.. Food was ok but it literally looked like they slapped it down on the plate prison cafeteria style. I was pleasantly surprised that my steak was cooked perfectly, shrimp not so much. It was kinda rubbery. The others with me said thier food was good also but not great..

Tried to go here for my 6th anniversary. Sat down quickly and just as quickly got ignored. Waited way to long for anyone to say anything to us. Staff were distracted with each other and moving incredibly slow. Incredibly disappointing.

It is a typical Cheddars. Food is dependably good and the noise is dependably LOUD- so as an intimate dining spot, you could do better. My favorites are the crescent rolls, Fried chicken, Monte Cristo sandwich and Cajun pasta. Parking is usually available in a free lot. This is kinda a freeway stretch of chain restaurants; Bubbbas, Cheddars Papdeaux's, M'tucci's, etc. are all next door to each other.
