Great place for vegan breakfast. Really pretty part of town. Cool retro Route 66 vibe.

My wife and I went to the Cinnamon Cafe on Juan Tabo in Albuqeruque for a Tuesday morning breakfast with several friends. We arrived around 9:30 and the restaurant was about 80% full. There are menus at the counter and also on the wall behind the counter. All ordering is done with the staff at the counter. The menu was large and very reasonably priced. I had a dish called the Paseo Pileup, which included two eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage and red chile. ($10). My wife had the Bueno Dia Quesadilla ($9). Customers pick there own table and orders are brought out by the staff. While my meal was adequate for me, it was on the small side. However, the flavors were very good, especially the red chile. My wife on the other hand did not care for her quesadilla, She said it lacked flavor, was small, and had little filling. So we were 50/50. Customers can get there own water, coffee and condiments from a shelf along the wall. The interior of the restaurant was very nice and the staff was friendly. Our meals came quickly but were warm, not hot. I would recommend giving it a try while my wife would not. If you have a big appetite, it would be best to go elsewhere.

10/10. Visiting from Nebraska , I’ll go back every time. Was it confusing to order ? Yes but eventually someone helped us. I just needed some arrows. The person at the counter recommended we (4 of us) do a bottle vs individual mimosas <3 , thank you. You were so right. And the food was also delicious. It felt like being welcomed into someone dream and vision. The aesthetic was beautiful and there was swings. I loved it.

We found this place by mistake while visiting friends in New Mexico we're from California and it's quite delicious and very great Happening spot and have the coolest swing chairs to sit in at your table. Try them out you won't be disappointed

Waffles were extremely dry, and your staff is dry as well. I needed a glass of water to take down 2 bites. Staff was very rude and blan. Red chili was great.

Called in an order, asked to have it repeated back and then was told that it would be ready in 15 minutes. When I showed up (after 20 minutes), I waited to get to the register for an additional 15 minutes, and then was told that my order still was not ready. I moved aside and waited for an ANOTHER 20 minutes for my order. My order was not even correct. When I attempted to contact a manager, I was told that I was lying about the amount of time that I had to wait and that there is nothing that they will do to correct the situation. Completely unacceptable. This place is not friendly on your budget either, and to get the wrong drink and COLD eggs, and the french toast is absolutely inedible. Didn't bother to cut the stems off of the strawberries and had such an outrageous amount of cinnamon-to the point that it chokes when trying to eat it. All of this wasted food, drink, money and time all with a healthy side of DISRESPECT - definitely not worth it. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK HERE.

The atmosphere in this place is so cool. Service is great. I think I ordered poorly on this visit. I expected too much from a frito pie. It is a pretty good frito pie but it wasn’t the best frito pie on my whole life. I’d give this place another chance.

This place was pretty good when it first opened; it's gone way down hill since. We went this morning for the first time in a while. The hash browns were stone cold, eggs so runny they were completely raw, and everything was generally flavorless. It's off our list of breakfast places indefinitely.

I live down the street from this establishment and have been frequently visiting for two years. The only consistency has been terrible service and a general confusion among the staff. The staff lacks any amount of concern or haste and it's clear the reason for that is they weren't properly trained.

Really enjoyed breakfast here! Biscuit could've been a little more fresh for the biscuit and gravy but overall good experience! I will be back!

Update: after being confronted by the staff of the sugar and spice cafe about my first review, and being told not to give them bad reviews… I decided to call and speak with the owner. She made me aware that my review is in the wrong place, however it is the same owner. I was informed that I should not leave bad reviews by the owner as well. I was basically calling because I felt bullied by the staff, but the conversation escalated quickly. She told me that I was wrong, she told me there was nothing wrong with the freshness of my food, she insulted 20 and 30 year olds, even though I am not in either of those age groups. She called me a j**** and took no accountability. At no time was I ever apologized to or offered any solutions to the matter. Instead I was berated with insults about my character, and who I am as a healthcare provider… I stand by my original honest review. I reached out to them before updating this review. I was hoping they would learn from their mistakes. The owner of this place does not care. This is the WORST experience I have ever had with a food and beverage establishment, and I hope this review helps someone in the future. Original review below.I’m not sure about the other locations, but the on one the unm cancer center is pretty bad. I don’t think there is any quality control or rotation of old items. As I write this I am looking at my garden salad that I have had to pick out half the ingredients because they are bad. There was mold on the chess and even the croutons are soggy. I would say if you have any other options at all you should explore them.

The cafe and decor are charming. 10 on a Saturday morning and only one register open with a line out the door. The person working the register continually had to stop to make drinks as people ordered so one party of four took 10 minutes just to place an order. The wall sized chalkboard menu is charming but offers no descriptions of items with vague or non-English names (what IS an ART Project pile up?). There is a place where it looks like paper menus go but no menus. The online menu does not match the in store menu. After close to an hour in line we still have not placed an order. No matter how good the food is, it is not worth that. I would advise ordering online in advance, but see above about menus not matching.

I have seen this cafe many times while driving down Central but their hours were always a little weird for me to pop in. I decided to come here with a couple friends for brunch a couple days ago. It was a lovely experience. The cafe is decorated in such a cute and unique manner. It is open and spacious and there is free wifi that works well. While I initially thought that parking was going to be an issue, it was actually quite easy to find parking especially because there is a parking lot around the back that is free for the customers. I ordered the cinfully delicious French toast and the pumpkin spice latte with almond milk. Both were absolutely fantastic! The French toast was cooked in such a way that it was not too sweet while being sweet enough. My latte was spectacular. I love that they have so many latte flavors. The customer service was excellent as well. Prices were actually pretty good especially for the amount of food received. My only critique is the odd hours of operation, however, given that it is primarily a brunch place, it makes sense that they are not open past 3. I will definitely be back!

At first, we assumed they were taking a while because short of staff. Then, we asked for utensils and were told they were going to be brought to the table. One out of three of us got our food but still had no utensils to actually eat the plate. Then, we realized the food was cold and went and asked once more for the food. They apologized and said the ticket got lost. We continue to wait for our food an hour later and still no food. Not only did other customers who came after us get served first, but so did many other parties who came here an hour after us. This is my third time here and this is the worst experience, the other times did have hefty waits, but not at this extreme.
