Hands down the best jazzy red beans and rice in Albuquerque!

Place was nasty as hell!! The floors were so sticky you could barely walk on them without your shoes sticking to the floor. The place is disgusting when you looked in the kitchen it was even worse !!!

Coming from South Carolina, I miss eating authentic southern style soul food. A friend brought me here once and now I make it a regular stop when I'm in Albuquerque for work!

Came in for chicken and waffles last night at 7:00pm. 21 hours later, I'm still suffering from the effects of food poisoning.

At first, the chicken was dry and flavorless, and I didn't think anything of it. Then I got very gassy throughout the evening - which also isn't unheard of, so I thought nothing of it. Canes makes me feel this way, too. But the next day, it hit, and I've been experiencing hours of pain and diarrhea. I'm not sure what caused it - maybe the chicken was old? It didn't seem undercooked to me. Either way, I've had a lot of chicken and waffles in my life and have never experienced anything like this.

The server was nice and assured me that I didn't come in too late. The waffles were okay, and prices seemed good. Their lemonade is absolutely delicious! But now I'm trying to think what I wouldn't pay to never experience this again.

I do NOT recommend this restaurant. I'm sure my review will be drowned out by the countless positive reviews they have, and I sincerely hope what I experienced was a fluke.

This place is yummy but no longer worth the price. It cost us over 60 bucks for my fiance and I to share 12 wings and 2 waffles and a tender meal for our daughter. We also got 3 koolaids. We'd rather travel out of town for quality wings for a reasonable price (and free drinks too!). We are wing lovers and know the average price of quality wings. I understand inflation but it doesnt make sense... hey, to each their own. It's still yummy though 🤷‍♀️

In New Mexico temporarily for work. I saw a blog post about black owned businesses in Albuquerque so I wanted to try this one out. Absolute SMASH. Everything that touched my tongue was delicious. I got the temptations platter (were out of greens so I subbed fried green beans. Never had them before but super good) and I added a waffle. Everything 10/10 😋

Frank’s is famous for a reason. The most delicious wonderful southern food. When I eat here, I forget I’m in ABQ. Tastes like a home cooked meal in Nashville or Memphis. The staff here are awesome, great customer service and the location is unique and fun. Thank you, Frank’s!!!!

I’ve been to this place probably around 6 times over a couple years and generally have a good experience.

The last time we went we decided to bring our 4 children with us who we usually order plates to share. Anyone with many small children knows when you order them all food, of course they don’t eat it lol and we decide to make that fun mistake again… and low and behold they all finish around 20% of there food. Not to mention, the chicken was very dry this time around….

So we get a To-go boxes, load them up with all the food they didn’t eat and again like a family with small children we forget it! That was our own fault of course, but we call about 5 minutes after we leave and they threw it out! You could clearly feel from picking it up it was full.

All that to say, we won’t be back for that reason. Food is too expensive these days and they could have held it for a little while (even though it was our fault for forgetting it) out of kindness. So I will no longer recommend them to people I meet.
