Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza - West Side Albuquerque

OK, if I report that the lasagna was quite disappointing, you would be within your rights to say that it's name and reputation are all about wood oven pizza, so, no I have no worthwhile experience with their specialty. I am only voicing the personal observation that I cannot make any strong recommendation for those yearning for memorable Italian flavors and al dente textures.

Ordered 2 sandwiches the Hero was a salad with very little meat, lot of Lettuce. And the roaster eggplant had a very thin slice of that just a disappointment.

My wife's lasagna was a little overcooked on the ends. However, they refunded the money.

We ordered take-out. Area was clean and cashier was friendly. We ordered the Pesto panini and margherita pizza which were delicious as usual. Salad was fresh. Before we left we didn't check to make sure we had utensils, red chile pepper flakes, parmesan and the side of hot oil we usually get when we order out. When we arrived to our destination we were super bummed as the items weren't in our order. The condiments/utensils are always included with our order. Overall, this location is awesome and a great place to dine-in and order take-out. Next time, we will have to double check. We highly recommend this location.

Pizza here is always a treat! Fresh ingredients and a perfect crust make every bite enjoyable. Service is fast, and the casual setting is great for both dine-in and takeout. A must-try for pizza lovers.

Food is good, after we got our food and pre-tipped, never seen another person for drink refills. Definitely wont tip at the register next time. Wait till after and cash tip at the table, maybe they will work for the customer

A friend brought us here for late lunch and wow. Food is excellent. Wait staff are very friendly. Will definitely be back here again. Enjoyed the pizza. You get to see it cooked in the wood oven near by.

I ordered the Salmone salad. It was very good. If you want less dressing order it on the side because it comes with lots of dressing already on it. It comes with bread but no butter. The butter you have to ask for. Great atmosphere and a patio. All service comes with a smile. I stayed a long time and no one bothered me. Very comfortable.

A great value and a pretty quick meal. Stopped in for a pizza and a beer. Service is quick and friendly. A little too much cheese on the margherita pizza. But the flavors and crust were good. Nice place for sure I’ll come back.

Usually this place has awesome pizza. This time it was not good! The crust was soggy and undercooked. The ingredients were just thrown on with no care.
