Opens at 8, but no freaking rice, an ingredient in alot of the menu. Love this place, but c'mon. Get there earlier to get the rice ready, Aloha!

Date day for K. We tried another cuisine and a new restaurant. Today was Kimos Hawain BBQ. We tried the Spam musabi, Huli Huli chicken and Teri steak. They came with rice and a choice of pasta salad or salad. We chose the pasta salad. The orders came out super fast. The staff was very friendly and the food was super hot. They give every generous portions. It had amazing taste. We will definetly be back.

Pretty simple and inviting joint. I had their Katsu about 3 years ago before I moved here while out for work (yes, that's how impressionable their food was). For 2 years I've been on the hunt, and I finally found them today. Mac is incredible- creamy, tasty and fresh. The chicken and their sauces are well balanced and insanely good. Their food reminds me of my visits to Haleiwa and Kauai. Definitely a go to here in ABQ.

I got the chicken teriyaki plate. It is salty and chicken is dry. My plastic fork bent when trying to eat the chicken.
The staff must have partied hard on Friday, they were not very engaging.The portions are great, the quality decent, but as 1st time visitors, we would have liked more enthusiasm and focus on welcoming new customers and explaining the menu.Didn't even know you had Tobasco sauce. 1 bottle for the entire dining room....we had fun sharing and chatting with the tables ....we all thought it was a bit silly, but hey, that's why we leave polite reviews ?Overall, it's a hard press to visit the dining room.The food truck, on the other hand, I've heard is a much more enjoyable experience. I look forward to visiting the food truck, and I'll update the review.Thank you for bringing a touch of Hawaiian food to NM !!!Mahalo?
